Ahh - that explains it :beer:0 -
I have started turning stuff over so people cant see my stickered items. I think that was suggested earlier here. But I had a right cheeky lady watch me take something out the fridge then say, quite loudly, that her friend should take it (from mybasket) as she wanted it. Cheeky mare. The worst part is, if she had asked me she could've had it. I'm all for sharing.0

Hi everyone looks like everyone is geting some good bargains
Gaily: If you find someone like that push them back I finding getting them in the ribs tends to move them or with the buggy lol. I hate people like that though so I tend to fight back. Almost got myself in to a fight at a table top sale the other week silly women would not move even a litte bit to let me look so I pushed her out of the way then she grabbed what I was looking at so I told her to get her hands of my top. Lol she was not happy but seemed to move on quite fast.
Anyway I have decided come pay day I am going to sort my food budget out even more into £30 for ys and £20 to stock pile thinking in the end I will have so much stock piled I wont need to spend much money on basics.February GC £261.97/24 NSDS 10/12

Oh I do xmas eve and NYE it is an absolute must in this house, an expected outing:rotfl: whatever we are doing, it gets stopped and off we go, all of us to get the bargains, my best on xmas eve was a £65 turkey with stuffing down to £8.15p and the SA was so apologetic saying that is the best I can do it for you for:rotfl: it was the best lean beautful turkey breast ever and even sweeter for the price:D
I already had 2 turkeys but hey was not going to pass that one up:D
One NYE I got enough meat from Sainsburys to cover the following 6/7 weeks, I HAD bags and bags of it for a ridiculous cheap price, the saving was amazing, we go every year.
Like wednesday I know it is not food related necessarily but I wil lbe there first thing after valentine's day to pick up all the stuff for next year as it goes back down to silly prices, chocs also if they are heart shaped so look out for them and the rest of the meal deals go into the yellow stickers, never thought the meal deals were value for money but reduced they are worth it.
I buy my bikinis in January, my coats in June, my xmas presents in January, my bedding in June or Jan depending on the reductions, if you buy out of turn it is so much cheaper.
Fantastic postI am going to see Titanic with Hubby tonight for free of course
So I think I will pop into Sainsbugs to see if they have any good Valintines things.

Skintmum, we got the free Titanic tickets too but have just had a look online to see how long it is and its 3 hrs and 23 mins!!! And our showing dosent start till half past 7! We wouldnt be home till 11:30 so weve decided to give it a miss
The poor cat woudl be thinking he was abandoned!
Instead weve opted for a dominos (BOGOF on a Tues) and watch a film at home. It might seem wierd to some people but its so rare that we get a takeaway of any kind that it will be a treat for us. Got my dozen red roses sent to me at work today. Embarassing, but in a good way!June GC £130.93/£150Wedding Date Set 13th October 2012 :T0 -
2 bags of garlic and herb tortellini from the coop today
79p each was £1.750 -
Hi All, hope everyone is well, always nice to see the bargains people get, just wish everyone could manage to find the kind of reductions I get, so think myself well lucky at the moment, just hope it continues and can continue giving stuff to friends and relatives to continue maing freezer space to get more stuff in it !! lol
Went up to co-op about 6-15 and nothing reduced yet, think this seems to be the case on most tuesday so went back up about 7-45 and lassie had just started on bread so went a wander to cash machine etc to pass 10 min or so
Lass that reduces everything to 10p on tonight so very happy to buy -
1 x co-op wholemeal loaf
1 x spring onions
1 x silroin steak - was £3.72
3 x fresh chicken strips
1 x ricotta cheese and spinach tortilini
1 x large key lime cheesecake
Total spend 80p !!!
I had tried the 2 key lime cheesecake slices before, and didnt like, nearly put me off cheesecake. Though thought worth a try for 10p and this seems better, it may be different or perhaps too much topping on other one and not enought base so it was too rich, but this is very nice at the moment
There were loads of bakery items, quiches and cottage cheese etc left, forgot to pick up some fresh custard as that was todays date, not bothered as it doesnt have vanilla in it so not worth the freezer space and had cottage cheese last wek so didnt want again and have quiches in freezer and keeping space for hopefully what is there with tmrws date
pork stir fry
about 10 packets of chicken strips
1 pack of minced beef, hope no-one gets it before me as not had in a while
some stewing steak
LOTS of butter with tmrms date too, is slightly salted lurpack, but beggars cant be choosers, am sure will keep few weeks and can freeze some.
So hoping for a good few things tmrw, worth a look anyway.
All the best to everyone else0 -
Hi everyone - had a great whoopsie shop in waitrose last night. Got four carrier bags full for £2.89 but better still paid for with my john lewis voucher for the trial which offer! I gave sa £5 gift voucher and asked her if she could put change on card but she gave me the cash instead! Also got lucky in sainsbury got some gu puddings for 60p for our valentine's meal tonight and some lovely cakes with about 60 per cent off. Nothing in tesco apart from spring onions for 15p.0

Had a great trip tonight and the staff gave me a super nice service too (really lovely SA in my Morries).
pancakes - 9p
Nom yoghurts 5p
warbutons buns x 9 - 15p
wardolf salad pot 9p
tomato pasta ready meal 9p
punnet of cherrys 45p
green beans 39p
sugar snap peas 39p
waffles 15p
The best Individual Tiramsu 9p (they weren't actually very nice, quite bland so glad I didn't pay full price)
current teacakes x 4 30p
huge block of cheddar 89p
Fresh burgers 89p (not a massive bargain but we have had them before and are really lean and good quality so I get them when they are cheap.)
Have spent the evening doing freezer tetris and am officially full. I have MOT and service next month and my dishwasher has packed up - so now is a good time to run down my stock and have a thrifty month.
Does anyone else find it hard to stop buying?
Well done Matty and Computerfixer! I'm very impressed!0 -
I needed some Sheba for our very spoilt little cat and some milk so waited till 6.30 to go to Sainsbugs - it paid off:TWe were quite low on fruit as had been to visit my dad over the weekend so didn't get to the market, managed to get a melon 30p, punnet of plums 25p, punnet peaches 25p, 2 organic avo's 25p, blueberries 30p, had to pay full price for tomatoes though
In the meat section we got 2 packets streaky bacon at 54p each (down from £2.19), a small beef joint at half price £3.40 and some smoked haddock for £3 a kilo instead of £18 - our piece was just over 500g for £1.52.
We didn't need bread but went to have alook anyway and got a packet of deli softs for 30p, a packet of warburtons seeded batches for 30p and 3 packets of orange and cranberry toasties for 20p each. There was a young lad and girl doing second reductions and they happily reduced wahtever we fancied.
We also bought a load of chorizzo for £5 a kilo less than half price - we got around 600g for £3.
OH is off to work tomorrow with chorizo and avocado batchesI was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly
