Morning all, last nights haul ( i'm not allowwed to go back for two weeks because we have more than enough food and i need to make space in the freezers now) a huge naan bread 5p, two steak and kidney pies 5p, a cooked chicken £1.80, a fresh pork & apple ready meal 80p, 2 packs of fruit scones 10p each & potato cakes 5p.
thrifty sister i'm planning to try a shop there in two weeks, i have had a look a few times before but not completed the basket. when i get paid on the 24th i will place an order there. i'm going to join the grocery challenge. i want to get my freezers down & make some pantry space in two weeks. i have vouchers for farmf***s and plan to spend £50 making it £45 with the £5 off. Then £25 possibly with A-Foods. Remaining money i'm trying to spend on yellow stickers before i buy normal priced food. hope it works.
even though i said im not allowed to go yellow sticker shopping for two weeks i finish work at 6pm on the 14th, so i will pop into A**** on my home to see if there are any Valentine yellow stickers. Enjoy your week everyone, i really have enjoyed this thread & wouldnt of bought any of the yellow stickers without it. its been great fun. Thankyou.Grocery Challenge 24th Feb-28 Dec 2012 £2000/£1404

Hi all.
So, i have just tried my Sunday 'near closing time' yellow sticker shop.
Mr T was rubbish, hardly anything out! So i went to C00p, which wasnt much better, but managed to get a pizza reduced from £2.75 down to 95p, and a huge tub of chicken and bacon pasta reduced from £1 to 50p.
Then checked my lottery ticket and had won £10.40! So, i have booked me and the kids into see puss in boots in 3D at the local cinema (£10 for all 3 of us with the 3D kids am), and the 40p is in the savings pot!0 -
Went to my local tesco at 2.30 this afternoon - what a waste of time. Only whoopsies I managed to pick up were two packs of apples pieces and grapes for 11p and some bananas from £1 to 25p with a couple of bruised ones in there. Have to carry on using my stockpile of whoopsies.0

Hello everyone, hope a good weekend was had by all
glad to see some more people are managing to get some good reductions, I hope everyone does well this week and gets their freezers and bellies filled with some great food at a great price
popped into co-op about 6-30 today, everything reduced already, should have went a little earlier as must have misses the onions and cooked chicken
Could have especially done with some onions, but will make a trip to aldi as they on special there this week 3 large for 39p i think, less waste on large onions I find.
Anyway got a nice little bit of bargains as follows
2 x chicken drumsticks - 40p each
4 x individual trully iresitable aberdeen angus beef and beaujolias pies - 20p each (had one of these reduced before and they are really gorgeous, will defo enjoy these with some veg and mash, no doubt reduced if I can find them
1 x tuna and sweetcorn sandwich filler - 20p (was loads - just took 1 for me for lunch tmrw)
1 x 2 half baked ciabatta - 20p - love this, already got some but am planning to use on friday so this will be a nice spare
1 x italian herb salad - 20p - have found this keeps ok for couple days so will use some for lunch tmrw some mayb for dinner tmrw or tue
The little beef pies I got were £2.78 each
Little bit pricey me thinks, 2 of them were reduced to 20p the other 2 to £1.85, think the guy missed it so asked him at checkout and he done them for 20p, so well worth asking
Happy hunting peeps0 -

Hi, T**** does seem dire for yellow stickers. Never had much luck there. We used to shop there all the time because we like to collect the points but now i'm torn. We have an A*** just down the road from us and i work fairly close to it. the yellow stickers there are fantastic, just need to catch them at the right time. I'm still new at this so i dont always get the right time. Wasnt allowed out of the house today in search for yellow stickers as freezers are full, not as good bargains as some get but not bad at all for a new starter. hoping he will let me out Tuesday after work to see if i can get some bargains then as i finish at six. if he doesnt i might consider putting him up for sale. Nothing wrong with a bargain and i am trying really hard to ignore the marks deal for £20.Grocery Challenge 24th Feb-28 Dec 2012 £2000/£1404

got a few reduced things but nothing much ... they just impossible to get nowadays .. was even talking to the reducing man the other day , he said people have gotten into fights and they are being told not to reduce things by too much as people are going for the yellow stickers anyways even though theres not much of a saving, and he was telling me about how staff arent allowed to take any for themselves anymore ... mad
i got :
coop:
cadbury choc mousse, 85p was £1.29
morries:
bakery steak pies, 89p was £1.60
rasberry donuts, 9p was 35p
ham "best of " sarnie, 29p was £2.25
melon peices, 19p was £2.000 -
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello, I didnt know this thread was here and I'm whoopsie mad:oI've got 3 freezers and all full. I have'nt paid full price or a piece of meat for over a year:TSaw someone mention bacon earlier, the best thing that ever happened to me was when the reducing machine in T's broke so they stuck 20p handwritten stickers on everything!! and they seriously had about 100 packets of bacon and that is something I always find hard to get, so got 20 packets and stuck it all in the freezer, Basically if it's not reduced or on a glitch I won't usually buy it it:oIt's like finding kindred spirits on here:)But I'm a whoopsie snob, I confess, and peel the reduced stickers off before I freeze it:rotfl::rotfl:Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0

at 24hr tesco managed to get packs of mushrooms, peaches and tomatoes for 6p each just before the reducer put it all in the bin. as soon as we walked away at 9.45 she put all fruit and veg in the bin:eek:. such a waste it was all perfect didn't even look like it was todays date. a few minutes later we passed her at the reduced bread where she was putting it all into binbags:mad:
not her fault, but you think they'd leave it till almost midnight incase someone bought it rather than chuck it. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090
