    Hi guys

    result of grand reduced hunt

both large co-op and small co-op were rubbish

brought few reduced things in co-op like meat as we needed them but sadly not huge saving.

But got to morrisions just gone 7pm took bus as its suberb miles away but on good bus route in evening.

took rucksack and 2bags for life,

noticed trolly of stuff just been put at front with all yellow stickers

but it was all bakery stuff!

remmebr my I have enough bread I need to stay focussed thread?

But how could I they were 9p:rotfl:

    so I got

    6packs mini pancakes-12 per pack!
    1 4k tea cakes
    1*6hot cross buns
    maybe 5-6 packs of rollls.

    all 9p a pack

got 3packs of bagels at 19p each.

    No meat or fish!

hit chilled was slim pickings but girl was knocking down last reduction on what was there. So me and this bloke had little chat and divied it up between us.

activia luxury 4pots in glass containers

    9p for 4 so got 8 2differnt flavours
    4pk ski yogurt 9p
    20fresh sausage rolls 9p
    4chese and onion pasties 9p

    3morrisions chicken dinner readymeals 19p
1 kids spag bol readymeal 19p.

    think that was it.

went in spar got 3packs of chicken fillets as reduced to 99p each.

I already have sausages in freezer
    also fish
    chicken
got some beef steaks in co-op todays date so doing them today

so got probably weeks worth of food without me needing to shop

But OMG MY FREEZER! Its a huge chest but mostly full of bread.

think least 6loaves so thats about 4weeks worth.
but my roll collection getting slightly out of control.
most of them are multipacks including mini rolls for kids they always reduced and want some for eldests party next month but 5*12 packs.
havent got precise number but would say we have maybe 300rolls! so 3months worth! We must stop buying bread!

Will go there again but think I was lucky with what time I went in as cashier says usually reduce a little later!
im guessing fullprice would have paid nearly 50 as the pancakes were £1.25 a pack full price and rolls £1. the chicken dinners were 2.29 and activia 2.39 . came to grand total of £4.50 for 3huge bags!:D

Going to baby event asda today
going to lidls weekend offers to get 12packs lean mince.
hubbys getting aldi super six when hes in work as next door.

will of course pop into spar and c0-op every other day.
cant do farmfoods as freezer too full of bread!
    thinking I need another freezer!
    pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:
Pay off as much as I can 2011 £15008.02/£15,000:j

I only buy reduced bread that we will use then and there - hate having the freezer full of bread when there are more vaulable treasures that could be filling it up! Plus its pretty much the onl thing you can guarantee getting reduced

  • Gailey, why not try your bargain run the other way round if possible, go overywhere else and leave co-op till last, I just went into co-op after 4 on way home, still same reductions as last night for stuff dated today, will go back up in an hour or so and see whats left worth having then :)

My co-op is great though and I guess they are all different with reduction times and amounts, popped into another one whilst was out last night and even though it was 8pm the reductions on stuff dated that day were no-where as good as my local one :(
  • My favourite reducer was on today who magically makes everything 10p when im in, helps him as i tell him what he's missed !! :j

He told me the machine tels him what needs reduced though, they still miss some

    I got 3 bulging bags containing - all at 10p ;)

    1 x melon slices
2 x truly irresistable carrot cake
    3 x pork loin steaks
    3 x quiche lorraine
4 x spinach and ricotta pasta
10 x mozzarella - were 15p but asked what best he could do so 10p :)
12 x cheese strings - heard are best for doing stuffed crust pizza, dont know if one of my fellow bargain hunters here told me or somewhere else

Dont know what part of county any of you are, would have loved to share bargains, esp the cheesy ones with skintmum as she is all out of cheese.

Had went in at 4ish as needed to top up phone but even when went back at 6-30 seen guy that was on reductions and told he was busy with delivery and give him half hour or so, 7-30 was perfect as he was just starting his rounds, said to me as usual just tell me what u want lol :)

Just now thinking about it, had a load like 6 or so packs of tattie scones thats not on my receipt, dont think i unpacked them so mayb left them behind ? will pop in before work see if they are anywhere to be found and maybe get free !! :)

take care ppl's, shame not many bargain hunters in my local or would share ;)
  • Evening all, back from Mr T-quite fruitful this evening again. I got loads of fruit and veg from 9p-22p including pots, cabbage, chanterney carrots, berries, apples, bananas. Also grabbed some tea cakes for 8p and warbs rolls for 15p. I didn't bother waiting for the meat as my freezer is full and there were only a few things out. Oh i also bagged 5 littlest pet shop mini figures for 4p each-we will have one very happy DD one her birthday in March and some RTC whiskas cat food for 19p a pouch.

    Great bargains everyone.xx

  • well done Olliesmum, great to get fruit and veg reduced, not had much lately, though have some nice soup that can come out the freezer and I found that the chopped ham and pork I got last night was lovely with some of the 10p rocket I had from last week dressed in a little seasoned olive oil and lemon(from lidl half price), tasty lunch :)

Am defoo going to need a new freezer, though have invited parents and sis over to take some stuff from me when they have cleared a bit of space theirselves, they seem to be lucky to get stuff half price or 75% off so am happy to grab all I can when is real cheap so long as can freeze it for them as my co-op is very quiet at night and there is soo much left.. even the reducing ppl say its aswell i come in otherwise LOTS would be thrown out.
