Hi Everyone, new to this post just found it. I have also been trying to get yellow stickered stock and from reading this I will make a trip I think to Morrisons today which is not near us but will combine with tha family visit. I went to M&S yesterday 30 minutes before closing but everything had gone! They also had not reduced the fresh bread products so left empty handed - better luck next time

  • I don't know if this will help anyone but if there's anyone else around here, I've noticed that the Swadlincote Sainsbury's has been making all their reduced fruit and veg down to 20p around 5.30 to 6pm. I've had loads of deals this week, bananas, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, sweetcorn, nectarines and on Thurs they had lots of the big bags of baing spuds (8 or so in a bag) all for 20p
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

  • is it me or is there so many more people hunting for reduced nowadays ... its getting rediculous lol :) although i love people getting a bargain i cant get one myself .. too many peoples in the way :) i guess we all feeling the pinch :(

    morries reduced today -

    pizza 59p was £3.29
    bacon 99p was £3.99
    fresh tuna steaks 19p was £4.30 :D
fresh tuna steaks 19p was £2.30

i missed out on £1 saving cos i forgot to use my voucher :p

    Today for me

    Stilton 55p (reduced from £1.55)
Cheddar 89p (huge block reduced from £2.50)
Baps 35p (reduced from 75p) Have had better reductions on these but needed them.
Fresh Burgers 89p (reduced from £2) Again not massive reduction but I rarely see meat reduced these days so I took my opportunity.

Not a brilliant days hunting but a least I got a few bits for the freezer.
  • Well done kittywight for your 19p tuna's

OMG I love my local co-op, was right quite a few things today

    5 x stewing steak 30p each
    2 x fish cakes 20p each
    1 x chicken fahita slice 20p
    1 x loaf 10p
a whole basket of garlic was all 5p each so took about a dozen and left rest

looks like ill be making steak pie filling tonight for tmrw dinner and some for freezer, dont find it freezes, then defrosts well uncooked, any tips :s

will be up for a while tonight chopping garlic to freeze in portions and keep some in cloves for roasting veg etc.

plenty left to be reduced there tmrw, so will go back up at my usual time and see whats left :)

looks like that gap in the freezer will be filled again v soon

    all the best ;)

I was in Tes&co today at 3.15pm, hung around to see if they dropped prices any more. They anounced store closing in 15 minutes at 3.45 and you could tell who was waiting for final reductions, people hovering. They brought a load of ready meals out and all were reduced to 10p, no good to me as they contained meat. People were grabbing and filling their trolleys. Mind you it was 4pm and they wanted shut of them, and people to leave quickly so they could close. I got a few items mainly veg and salad stuff which suits me. I wanted some bread but they didn't do the final mark down, there was loads left on the trays.

Just notices Sainsbury's have fairly decent birthday cards, male and female for 25p, seems to be there normal price and not reduced!!!

I am always looking out for the yellow sticker, and only tend to buy the more expensive items if they are reduced or on sale...I was in my element when Tesco were doing buy 1 get 2 free last year...my partner thought I was crazy having packets and packets of each item...but saved me a lot in the long run....
