Anybody any bargains today? I have not left the house but would love to hear what everyone else has got.

Again very little for me at my local wee co-op, but it all helps to keep topping up..

suede 10p, back of rocket 20p and small pork pie 10p, nearly forgot their reduced party food, didnt boter with the snacks but grabbed a pack of the choc eclairs for a treat as its friday, scanned at £1 was sure it said 49p, they didnt check and put it through as that anway, hope it was meant to be that, am sure it was, was nice munch a couple hours after pizza went down whilst watching film.

So had my cheapo parsnip carrot suede soup I made yesterday then pizza..

Had 3 small chicken thighs that were in a pack of 6 defrosted (were 10p last year) so 5p - marinaded and roasted, these went on home made pizza base about 18" x 12" with some FREE sacla mozarella bazil tomato sauce and tail ends of bacon from bacon sandwiches (bacon was 10p start if jan ;)) and some store cupboard stuff like capers sundried tomatoes, handfull of mushrooms and corguetttes from freezer

used a 180/200gram pack of creamy cheddar from poundland, lol most expensive bit... Fed me and mate and were stufed and slice left.

Can have that at lunch with pork pie for a wee change, dont often eat them.

Suede will go into stew or soup.

Off out on Sat and not much with that date on so not fussed, they are well stocked and stuff already reduced a bit for sun/mon, am sure will get a load more bargains then, have half a freezer shelp in anticipation lol

    Happy hunting :D
  • Found a much reduced leg of pork in the local co-op down from £5.95 to £2.45 and got one of thier finest loaves for 60p. Best bargain in One Stop 2x300g blocks double gloucester cheese at 35p each. I feel a macaroni cheese coming on as I type!

Went on grand hunt no 1 after daughters cheerleading class.

Thourght with all backlash against tesco try there first.

    stop no 1

    tesco express/garage@6.45

busy and few reductions . the little chilled they did have not much off.
    Always reduced sushi.

I got kingsmill muffins was 69p now 15p brought 3packs
kingsmill pancakes was 69p reduced to 45p?

baffled why not same price so just brought one.

nice granary roll 4pk was 75p now 49p wow! not!

moved onto metro which was dire!

    no reduced meats.
reduced chilled section was like 50p off at gone 7pm
    was quite dead.
lady was reducing that days sandwiches to £1.49 thats not going to shift them!

only things worth a look was bakery trolly near near entrance.

got 6pack kingsmill rolls was 95p now 19p.
6pack scones not sure how much fullprice but 17p chuck in freezeserve with hm jam and tea when mam comes over.
load warbertons bread obver £1 to 27p.
4pack free from apple pies 40p at 10p a pie ok for hubbys lunchbox.

There was a large fotball birthday cake reduced to £1.03 but we all meant to be on diet and eldest a girl dident think shelike it then hubby got cross as I dident buy it.

but would rather buy healthy stuff or stuff that makes meals.
also allow few tasty treats and extras we wouldent normally afford and dident think football cake qualified.

    Got few good offers .

by this point kids on car truly fed up and hubby was stressed.
went home ordered takeaway then eldest and hubby went back up local high street to visit large co-op

gave himn stict instructions where thinsg normally are and worth checking normal section too.
Also read here about reduced frozen so mentioned look there.

think he spent less than tenner.

As I wasent with him unsure of costs. but he got

    reduced bread
half price gammon joint think £2.57
    sandwich for today 70p.
some on offer stuff cheese 100%extra free and ham.
he had no luck produce unlucky as needed some.
the meats were reduced but not by enough!
he did have luck in part section all was 49p think he got 6boxes

    cocktail sausages
    onion bajees
    sausage rolls.

pleased with him hes donea good job and really embracing what im saying.

this afternoon doing lidls deals so no reductions but sainsburys opposite but sat afternoon expect few reductions. also want to try different tesco express for reduced to clear toys as eldest has 5party invites!

so definatly being more fussy with reduced and only buying if super deal.
going by myself monday night unsure if should even go tesco metro now just do morrisions and 2 co-ops.

so for me I keep getting small amounts and mostly bakery items.
every little helps with little snack monstors

    but freezer needs some meat
    fridge needs some produce!

going to check out sunday reductions at co-op.

off to asda tuesday for baby but cant face big store so will do asda living instead maybe pop in tesco extra but daytime doubt be any good reductions then

I got nothing at morries yesterday, the reductions were stacked high of quiches (don't eat them) all the xmas cheeses with apricots in or cranberries etc (don't eat them only OH and he is now fed up with them) those pasta salads/potato salad combination which cannot be frozen so if I was having a picnic I would have been laughing so got nothing, came away very like ufff:rotfl::D
