Having finally finished my backing up I'm going to be brave and attempt this. I will need help though as I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle. I've launched hijack this but can't find my log! I will read through the original thread to look for further advice. Until then, My committ total = 615572 Peak = 1091320…

The ex has the original install (backup) discs that came with the PC, not the data backup discs.

(I'm guessing this machine has XP Home as the operating system. I have still got my [very] old Fujitsu-Siemens PC and this came with OS and driver discs).
