Chrome still launching - not a lot happening.

I wasn't sure if resetting IE meant More than it probably does re passwords. I'm not thinking straight.

2 items remaining on yahoo & microsoft & now TT on IE. Nothing on the others.

do this in order, and stop if any of them cure it

start, run, cmd

ipconfig /flushdns

test websites again

turn router off for 30 seconds, turn back on, wait 1 minute

test websites again

right click on avast icon near the clock, avast shields control, disable for 10 minutes

test websites again

reset ie to defaults as above (IE, tools, internet options, advanced, reset internet explorer settings, ok)

test websites again

check and reseat the network cable going between pc and router at both ends

test websites again

run ccleaner

test websites again

is the machine running ok/any faster apart from the internet problem - you mentioned chrome isn't loading, does that mean the program isn't loading, or the homepage isn't loading?
