If you had seen in a shop you would have thought that look too big for my place.

You're forgetting the most important part.....OP has no right to return (regardless or any other details other than perhaps if the company agree to deal with him) as he was not the one who entered into the contract.

DSRs, not DSR's - just for clarity :p

Ouch! I see your point, but I do find 's to be more readable (personally) for pluralising CD, DVD for instance, despite not using full stops in the acronym/contraction/initialism.

I hope you now know I am duty bound to read every single post you have ever made, or will make, just for that moment when I can pounce going 'gotcha'! (Luckily, I won't waste my life on it, but some would!)

Who said i had a small flat?

You did (sort of - your wording could easily be construed as such).

We live in a flat and there is really no room for a pool table

But to your issue - is this a UK-based company? If yes, did they provide details of your rights under DSRs in a durable form (email, invoice, despatch note)? If no then you (technically) have 3 months and 7 days to inform the retailer of your intention to return for a full refund.

If yes then you have 7 working days starting the day AFTER delivery. So if delivery was 12th Dec you had until 21st Dec to inform them of your intention to return. Waiting until Christmas day was too late.

Edit: Sorry - I posted before noticing that there was a Page 2 of this thread. :rotfl:
  • As discussed in the linked to thread above, enforcing rights on the 3 months issue is not easy to do, I've not seen a single incidence of it occurring on this forum.

True. But it's still an option to investigate. :)

Go for it! If you've got the energy to wade through the pointless drivel that I usually post in the hope of finding a rogue apostrophe you're welcome to publicly chastise me. I shall deserve it.

I think it'd be more accurate to say it could be 3 months & 7 days, unless you know the processes of the relevant company. They may well have sent the OP the required information in a durable format.
