Crikey cant believe another week has passed and I havent updated my diary.
As I have said to others I do catch up on my phone during the early morning commute but don't post till I'm home and this week has been very busy and oh soooo hot.
So O***** called yesterday to say BT now say there is a problem with the line to the exchange (don't believe that or else all my neighbours would be up in arms) and they cant sort it until 6th June:eek::eek: So yet another wait. I have done getting mad over it as it solves nothing and just makes me upset and ill.
Ok now for the good news..... I have received the cheques for my PPI claim and will be banking them today:j:j:j It will be funny to see all that money in my account even if only for a short time.
I know it will bring down my debt and that it all good, but so wish I could spend some on me.
As its a bit cooler need to get some stuff done around the house this weekend, have Monday morning off as another hospital visitor (dietician) so need to get a bit organised.
Tonight is Euro vision on the telly, I used to watch it a lot when I was a child but it has lost its sparkle for me recently and now Old Terry Wogan doesn't do the voice over its just not the same. It will be interesting to see how the UK do so I might have a look at the points part (see if we beat the russian grannies :rotfl:)
Right have a good day all catch up soon
love

Hi NRA, hope you enjoyed your Eurovision last night. We used to watch it when I was younger but it's not the same as an adult. They don't actually show it on tv in NZ (but I guess we're not part of Europe so why should they)? What happened, did Britain beat the Russians? :rotfl:Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Hi Mrs Fluffies
No sadly we came second from bottom:(. Have to say the song I liked best was the German entry (written by Jamie Callum). Sweden came first, bit like Kate Bush.
One thing I didn't like was that the Swedish entry had been advertised throughout Europe so loads of people knew it. Now I could be wrong but I didn't think they advertised their songs back in the day unless they won, but hey ho
Have to admit the Russian grannies were quite sweet and funny :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you are keeping well , we have glorious sunshine here at the moment so nearly time to strike up the barbie again!!
Take care

Ok so had booked a half day today waiting for my hospital visitor and called work to extend to a full day.
Not a happy bunny when the post arrived to discover that my HSe insurance premium hadnt gone through as there wasnt money in the account when they claimed the DDR. There was money on the account the day I thought it was going through, ie pay day but they request it three days earlier  so they sen a default notice it then took 38 yes 38 minutes to get then to change the DDR on the system as i now have to have effectively have a new policy with a shorter renewal date:mad::mad: Not happy so I feel a change coming on.
On the plus side renewed yearly season ticket (had a voucher for bad service during the year, saved £3.05 but it all counts :rotfl:)
Also bought a "stroller" for when DGS comes to stay which I hope will be soon :j
Still trying to find a pair of shoes that don't cripple me, maybe that is a job for the weekend.
We heard noises from the garden last night, a sort of snuffling and located the source as 2 hedgehogs, the noise apparently is part of the mating ritual so who knows maybe some baby hoglets next month
Will keep an ear and eye out again tonight.
Hope all are keeping well
Take care

Crikey I really cant believe how long it has been since I made an update so here goes.
Work has been very hectic just lately, we all went out last Thursday to a Thank you dinner in a Polish restaurant. Food was quite nice although I think some on here would wonder about what the Poles call dumplings, they are nothing like their British counterparts. I had to leave by 9 to get the train home (still didn't get in till 10.45ish) which was probably a good job as that was when the Polish vodkas came out. Needless to say a few sore heads on Friday:rotfl:
Thursday night my friend bought her dog round as we are dog sitting for the week-end. OH and I were both working on Friday and made the mistake of letting her have the run of the downstairs:eek: Not a good move, she must have been bored and decided to pull things out of the re-cycling box and shred it to pieces so I was not a happy bunny on my return from work on friday.
She is a lovely dog about 12 or 13 years old but I forget how much work they are, especially as when OH has been going to work at 5.30 she wants a walk and it has been pouring with rain:( Who says you get a lie in on Bank holidays :rotfl:
Saturday did a few bits around the house and OH and I went for a pub lunch, and I finally managed to find some decent shoes (Hush Puppies) in the sale.:j Sunday was depressing with the miserable weather but a friend and I went out for a couple of hours for a coffee and I spent the afternoon watching the pageant.:T
Have been awake since 5.30 again this morning, doggie did not like her walk today as it was really pouring when we went out but she soon snuggled back down in her bed when we got back.
She is due to be collected tonight so I may manage one lie in , who knows
Banked cheques for PPI have still not cleared, I called last week and was advised they will be cleared funds by this Friday:eek: due to the bank holiday, crikey nearly 10 days to clear cheques, still it makes my bank balance look nice even if only for a short while :rotfl:
It actually looks like the(dare I say it ) sun might be trying to come out so I really should try to move myself to do some bits around the house and get out for a few hours. I seem to have spent a great deal of time on the Pc this weekend so not good really.
Will need to update spreadsheets etc later and go and reply on some diaries.
Hope everyone is enjoying their extended weekends

Hello NRA
Thought I'd pop in and say hello as I'm having a lazy day today after a late arrival home last night.
Hope your cheques have finally cleared today and that you got that lie-in after the dog went home.
Intend to read a bit more of your journey later as you seem to have knocked a fair bit off your debt so far.
Mine hasn't gone down much this month but then it hasn't gone up so that's good

Hello Dear diary et al
Well I have been away a long time haven't I ?
Having said that I have been looking at everyone's diaries just not posting much.
So what has been happening in my world? Well my PPI cheques finally cleared (still cant believe it took 10 days!!) and I have to confess I was a bit of a naughty girl:o... I have spent some of it:o:o
Before I go into that I will explain that I have been in touch with my DMP and I am awaiting results of their settlements team. Apparently when you have a reasonable amount of money to pay over and there are only small amounts on certain debts they will go to the creditors and ask about partial settlements. This can take a few weeks but hope to hear soon. In the meantime I am still paying back my normal monthly amount. Who knows I may actually clear one or two of the smaller ones:j ...watch this space
On the home front there have been a lot of changes in my life recently that I wont bore you with other than to say that my OH and I have decided to try again and we are taking it day by day.
Last weekend was my birthday (as well as fathers day, and my dad forgot to wish me Happy Birthday when I rang:rotfl:) so OH and I went away for the weekend to the Forest of Dean. It poured with rain all day Saturday, never seen wind and rain like it to be honest:eek: but Sunday was better and we ventured into Wales for a visit to Caldicote Castle (very nice and lovely cream tea
)
Back at work this week and as for the past month or so it has been manic, my colleague is away next week so I envisage early mornings and late nights, have actually spent the last 3 hours working from home:eek:
I am off the second week in July and my DGS is coming to stay for a weekend with his nana, who is now like a demented woman trying to make the house babyproof :rotfl: Still I cant wait to spend some quality time with him. Have arranged for DD and her BF to spend the weekend at a holiday camp about 40 mins from here to give them a proper break (see I havent been spending all the money on me ... does that count:p). Have also arranged for me and OH to go to Cornwall for 4 days after that weekend (may need to catch up on my sleep:D) so another thing to look forward to.
On the MSE front I have been reasonably good with food shopping etc. I had made enough points on one survey site for a voucher in May, still hadn't arrived this week so sent an email to be told they are having supplier issues so we will see. It will all go into the Christmas pot along with my Amazon voucher for my other survey.
Had a discussion at work last week about laptops and found out we can get 18 month interest free loans from the company. have decided to order one online from a company a friend uses so hope that will arrive next week, will be a lot easier than sitting at the pc desk.
On the hedgehog front we still have our lady hog under the decking, we noticed the boy (well we thinks its the boy) come in under the garden gate last week and start making all his gruffling noises so still not sure if she is expecting or if he is just trying his luck :rotfl: She may be just be getting bigger because OH is feeding her too well :rotfl:
Well hopefully if you have read this far you havent fallen asleep, time for me to get a shift on and do some ironing.
Will catch up with everyone later
Love
