Ok so I am off work today but it has been busy.

Today is payday:j so been updating the spreadsheets, took money out for shopping (my April GC starts here:o ) and did a big shop at Mr A. Quite pleased as I got a big beef joint and have cut it up so I have 2 good size joints and 4 steaks (treat for sometime in the month). Also some other items I buy have been put in their £1.00 promotion so have stocked up:T

OH came shopping with me as we needed to get some compost for the garden, I have another promo card so we got 4 for the price of 3. I have a purse full of different (points/money off) cards but will keep using them for the odd little bargain:)

When we went to the garden centre there is a craft shop attached to it and I saw they were doing a crochet class on a Saturday in a few weeks so decided to treat myself. (£10.00 but it will be worth it, they provide the wool, and hooks. Oh and a cup of coffee!!). I hope to make some nice things towards Christmas.
I think reading Kerri and Nora's diaries have sort of inspired me again. I love knitting and can crochet the blankets but not much else so think it will be good encouragement for me.

Have to go do some HW now but will catch up later. Keep getting heavy showers so wont risk putting the washing on the line, shame really as I love the fresh smell from the breeze.

    Catch up later

The weather is truly rubbish! We had scary thunder and lightning right over the house earlier.

Glad we've been inspiring you, I've been inspired by other peoples diaries where they're making things :) I'm currently knitting some booties, finally got my ribbed knitting sorted :) Using some lovely 80% bamboo, 20% silk yarn.

Hope you post some pictures of the things you make, you'll save lots of pennies on Christmas presents.

I would love to make things, but dont seem to every find the time. Added to the fact I have the Attention Span of a Gnat these days, I am constantly flitting from one thing to another, I dont think I would ever actually finish anything.

I will just continue to look at the photos of the lovely things Kerri has been making recently !

Hope you have enjoyed your crochet class NRA, is it today you are starting ?

So I have been awol a bit over the weekend so what have I been up to.

Spoke to Or***e again and they day BT now say that wont do the work for the new line until 21st May  I did say to the chap I was talking to that this had been going on since 8th March. I know its not his fault but Im effectively losing £30.00 a month as I cant cancel V***** until I have the new line set up.... Oh well patience is a virtue....and I DONT HAVE ANY :rotfl:

Met a friend for coffee yesterday afternoon and for some reason was really tired so had a nap mid afternoon.

Work today which was manic as always, came home made the beds, dinner, shower, hair wash and on here to catch up on diaries and try to do some surveys, oh and update spreadsheets.

DGS bday at the beginning of the month so have booked a day off to go and see him. DD has asked me to make a cake so I had better get organised this week with things I will need. Already have his card and pressies so all good there.

Right hope to catch up soon

    Hi,

It sounds as though you've had a busy week-end and busy day at work.

I hope you have a nice evening and don't work too hard completing surveys. Sometimes they are so boring I literally fall asleep in the middle. :rotfl:

    Take care.

So my first full week back at work and I have to admit it has been very tiring. Having said that it has been nice to get back into some sort of routine and work through various jobs on my desk.

BT turned up this week and for 2 days left a big hole outside my garden gate ( I guess they dont like the rain either;))
Got home Thursday to see hole filled in but no wires into the house , yesterday morning had a call from the surveyor who had actioned the job asking me if anything had happened.

I filled him in and said stll no wire into the house and he said that the conatrctors hadnt done what he had asked them to  so he will contact them and get back to me. Sounds like the usual thing of the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Mr A have their mother and toddler event on at the moment so DD asked me to get a car seat for DGS, had to visit 2 stores before I found one but that is already for DGS birthday on Wednesday.

I have booked the day off work and will travel up in the morning:D
Cant wait to see him again :j

Went to my crochet course this morning, there were only 4 of us plus the teacher and it was great fun. The lady taught us how to do granny squares among other things so I might attempt to make myself a scarf. It was only supposed to be for 2 hours but we were getting on so well we forgot about the time until her DH turned up to see where she was and we had been going for 2 hrs and 45 mins at that point :rotfl: She has said she will arrange some other courses and I have already said i would like to go.

It is not very often I do something for me so this has seemed a really good opportunity.

I also had some good news last night, re a PPI claim I made.
As you know I am on a DMP so I wont actually get the money but have a call into Paylan for Monday to see how it should be spread. If it actually happens it will make quite a difference to my debt and could shave quite a bit of time off it so here's hoping ;)
Will update my siggy if and when the money comes off.

It has now given me the confidence to try to claim on other cards I have had so fingers crossed.

Right time to update the spreadsheet with my grocery shop figures this morning so will catch up with everyone later.

    take care

Reading your post I was wondering whether BT had been asked to make a pond for you. digging a hole and leaving it for the rain to fill it.

I'm glad you had a great time at the crochet class. :)

Also good news about the PPI, although you won't see the money yourself.

    Have a good week. :D
