Good to see that you're back at work part-time but not so good that you're becoming tired so easily. Make sure you look after yourself.
Lemon drizzle cake... one of my favourites. Can't wait until we have lemons on our tree again. I have to do some baking tomorrow, it's DS2's birthday on Monday. He's ordered a pavlova, so I guess I'll be making meringues!
Hello Mrs Fluffy
Sorry for not replying to you yesterday. As you have probably seen I didn't get round to making the cake. Pavlova is one of my favourites but only with peaches , mandarins or bananas (not a great berry eater:)
Also another confession dont think I can make meringues so I cheat and buy the little nests dont tell anyone:shhh:
Actually when I was little I used to go strawberry picking for my nan with my cousins, they ate more of their contribution so I always had the biggest amount in my punnets:rotfl:
Hope your DS has a lovely birthday tomorrow

I'm sorry I have been a bit elusive these last few days, particularly on Sunday when it was a tough day for you.
I am lucky enough to still have both my parents, as has Mr Pinot, but it does worry me more and more as I get older about losing them. Its lovely you have such fond memories of her though . I was also the proud owner of many lovely ponchos in t e 70's, a particular favourite being a red white and blue one ( knitted by my late nan ) in honour of the Queens Jubilee in 1977 !
I am looking for a good Lemon Drizzle cake recipe if you or Mrs Fluffy can help . ( if its baked int he microwave forget it as Mrs F will know, me and microwaves cakes dont mix well !) I have requested an old fashioned manual Juicer for my birthday this year ( not the squishy type ) the ones with a pull down handle, if I am making any sense, and the plan is to make a lovely lemon drizzle cake ! I am very jealous of Mrs Fluffy and her Lemon Tree, my lemons are from Asda ! Oh and strawberry picking, I take the girls in the Summer and there is lovely little place where we camp sometimes, with Pick your own ! I think I am worse than the girls though for eating as I pick !
Loved you lists the other, they are very motivating !
Good to hear your home visit went well, are they pleased with your progress ? I hope so.
Good luck with the car repairs, I hope they arent too costly. My car is still playing tricks on me !! Do you have any idea whats wrong with it ?

Hi NRA, hope you're well. Sorry to hear that you were a little down at the weekend. Both me and Mr F are lucky enough to have both our parents, albeit they are 12,000 miles away. I do worry about them as they get older, particularly my dad as he is 90 and still lives on his own and has no contact with either of my two brothers.
Hope work is not tiring you out too much.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Hello Mrs P and Mrs Fluffy:wave:
Lovely to hear from you both xx
Sorry I have not been around, made the mistake of going into the office for 7.15 yesterday and then not leaving till nearly 1.30 ( my colleague was off ) and did not do myself any favours as I was absolutely shattered and then had a bad night.... silly NRA that will teach me
Today I did go on early (was awake at the crack of dawn) but made sure I left at midday so a little more human tonight.
Car is going into the garage tomorrow for a complete new exhaust ( the cutting out is getting more frequent and makes me nervous about doing any sort of lengthy journey). Have transferred the money as I have been trying to put some by.
STBEOH had his car in yesterday for an MOT and it failedso he has ordered a part from a breakers yard and the garage will fit it so hopefully that will pass once its done. So an expensive motor month.:(
Finishing work at lunch time tomorrow and will then do the shopping, don't fancy doing it on Good Friday. Really want a nice roast but will check the pennies as there are still a few days to pay day and I am doing the grocery challenge this month.
Have been keeping an eye on the diaries using my phone , but its tiny so very difficult to type on . I might try to get one of those special pens, will look on eb** and Amaz**.
Just remembered one of my survey sites is due to give me an Amaz** voucher for £5 :j, so my hard work will pay off.
Right off to have another catch up and write some messages.
Take care, what are you both doing for Easter?

Well done with the survey payout, I am so rubbish I have yet to earn anything. They are so brain numbingly boring and when there are loads of other things I shouldbe doing, I cant bring myself to do the surveys instead. I also discovered quite by accident today that a very well to do relative of ours whose obviously knows nothing about our situation works for one of the Survey sites . I am now wondering if she may have seen my name when I signed up ,as that would most certainly become the talk of the town !
The car trouble soudns a nightmare, good on your STBEOH for gettign his part from the breakers, we have done that a few tiems now and definitely saves a few bob. Hope the exhaust doesnt prove too costly for you tomorrow, but am sort of guessing it will !
I dont even bother reading the diaries on my phone, it drives me insane, takes so long to load and is so tiny, I admire you for even trying !
Plans for Easter, I would love to say I am flying off to some exotic faraway land, or even hiding away in a tiny cottage with only Mr Pinot, my girls and a few good books for company, sadly its not to be !!
Mr Pinot will return home late on Friday, and join us at a party the girl and I will be going to earlier in the evening. Saturday and Sunday I am hoping we can tackle a few jobs and jsut spend a bit of tiem together, and Sunday evening we are taking the girls and a couple of their friends to a concert, which was a Christmas present . Easter Monday Mr Pinot will leave in the early hours and head away again until Sunday, so we wont quite manage a full Easter weekend, but thats pretty normal for us anyway.
How about you, have you any nice plans, or are you intending to take it nice and easy ? xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Ok so car went into the garage this afternoon for new exhaust, went to collect this afternoon, passed debit card over for bill was prepared and had transferred money over from savings and .....card DECLINED not once but twice:mad::mad:
Luckily STEBOH was with me and we used his card.
Got home went on internet banking to pick up bank number and noticed 2 strange entries for today being debited from the account.
Called bank explained about card decline etc and nice lady said did you try to pay 2 other amounts last night for xx amount, errr no.
One moment please need to speak to fraud department....
So outcome is card has been stopped, luckily money will be refunded and remaining money in account transferred, BUT
Why did this have to happen on a bank holiday weekend and why do people do this...:mad::mad::mad:
Ok I am calm and rant over. Thank god I check everything every day (getting a bit OCD lol) or I may not have realised it was just embarrassing st the garage although they were very nice about it
Luckily have other card I can use but not the point.
So plans for the weekend, well have been shopping to day (gosh it was packed ), got a lovely leg of lamb for Sunday. My treat to myself.
Staying to close to home in the main, have a little bit of work ,work to do. Catch up with some filing and more shredding and see where we go from there.
Right time for me to chill and have a look around the diaries, will come back later in a more free-spirited frame of mind

Hello Mrs P
Sorry now I have had my rant have read your post.
Hope you and the family have a lovely time together, even if not the full weekend. Who are you going to see in concert? Will I be jealous?
The part for OH car has arrived (good service and price for the part) and car has been booked in for next week. Hopefully will then pass MOT and all should be good in the land of cars in this house (good but expensive).:o
Going to have a look around the diaries, my survey sites and then relax for this evening, will catch up later
Take care
