Well after my one experience with them I would not recommend them to my worst enemy, they are useless as can be seen by the numerous complaints in the thread I linked to.

how many forums do you see where users praise companies and how many forums do you see where users slate companies

my point is people will go onto forums about any industry to mention bad services etc, but how many go onto forums to praise any company.

every industry has complaints and i bet for every 1 complaint their will be at least 100 satisfied customers

There is a difference between people making occasional complaints about a company, but when the web is awash with complaints about one namely Pixmania then there is obviously a problem with them.

You may see the odd complaint about Amazon but not hundreds on every forum, can't bring yourself to admit you may be wrong just as in the case of who owns Pixmania.

I am having trouble with Pixmania too.

Sent a kids scooter back as as a fault developed within 2 months. They have agreed it was faulty as they have credited my pixmania account with the value of the scooter and original postage. I want a refund on my credit card as the item isn't in stock and its gone up in price so I would be forced to pay more for it even if it was in stock!

I asked for either a replacement or refund on my card. I have had the following reply today

    Thank you for your e-mail.

From looking at your file I can see that our Accounts Department has validated your refund to your PixPiggy account on the 28/12/2011 as this could not be fixed.

Please note that we have a 15 day money back guarantee which is sadly over. Therefore we couldnot arrange for a refund into your credit card or offer replacement.

    We apologise for the inconvenience.

Certainly not the best company to use and I won't be using them again despite using them a couple of times before. Once I had to return a faulty docking station and they were fab with that...collected it from my door and credited my account but as the item was 18 months old that was fine as wasn't entitled to a full refund.

This time have had to post item back ourselves (still not sure if we have had a refund for the cost of that yet must check!) we had to email our bank details for a refund on postage and send copies of postage receipts. Now this!

If you look in Wikipedia other countries have had complaints about them too.

Are they supposed to trade under UK law does anyone know?
  • After applying pressure through twitter and various review sites I was bombarded on all sides from Pixmania. Many thanks to all who made suggestions. I still wouldn't touch them with a bargepole - I've better things to do with my time than chase after a company who couldn't organise the proverbial in a brewery!:j
  • I find it funny that someone actually uses pixmania as a drop shipper!! They struggle with their own customers, never mind other sellers customers lol

Not to mention the evidence presented in this thread showing personnel on the dropshipping sode of the business either don't know who owns the company they work for, or have opted to lie about it.

So you're still denying that it's owned by DSG?

And to be fair - the dig was with your 'contact' - not you persoanlly
  • Just to make it fair, I've used the same site to compare the retailers.

    Amazon. 4000+ reviews.
    9.2 out of 10

    http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.amazon.co.uk

    Pixmania. 2000+ reviews
    5.8 out of 10
    http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.pixmania.co.uk

One or two bad reviews could probably be explained by biased customers but the number of 1* and 2* comments show that many people have had bad service from them.

    He's not saying anything now.
    How does the phrase go?
"when you have nothing worthwile to say, say nothing"
