  • What was the offence? I have him saying people were idiots a few time but that seems to be pretty much normal for how these threads often go!

It was more than a few times, especially in the past couple of days. (some of the posts have now been removed).

Just because it's normal doesn't mean that it should be allowed. Once calling people idiots gets to be acceptable on here, another word of phrase may start to be used as "idiots" won't be strong enough.

Texrangers biggest problem wasn't that he occasionally posted incorrect information (as we all do from time to time), but that he refused to ever accept that it was wrong and continued posting it and got upset when the error was pointed out, and constantly resorted to insults against the people trying to correct him.

Not only is this not good forum etiquette, but it could well end up causing newbie members to accept something as a fact when it is fact far from it.

Yes I accept that but this is the "vent" board therefore tends to be more tongue in cheek than the main more serious boards. I've called people far worse on this board and never been banned. The whole thing just seems a bit draconian and I think it would have made more sense to lock the thread (which had run its course) than ban an established poster who had contributed some reasonably interesting and useful facts on other threads.

Established posters are PPR'd regularly. Part of the forum is ethos is 'be nice to other MSE members'. Repeatedly shouting 'IDIOTS' at others isn't being nice. He will have no doubt been warned and has ignored the warning.

Why have you resorted to name calling? Whenever I see name calling used I think it weakens the posters argument and credibility, texranger on this thread being a prime example.

I'm sure I've often seen insulting messages from you? In addition you say established posters as if you've been on this board for years but I see your join date is December 2011?

I also dropship through pixmania and they are a good company and definitely NOT owned by DSG. DSG do own shares, but they are just one of many big shareholders and they do not run or own pixmania. Hope that clarifies things.

how wrong you are. they are a french company, i use then as dropshipper and they provide a great service

DSG International Plc is a shareholder of the Pixmania group, but they are not part of the DSG chain

    Head office:

PIXmania 183 rue du Chevaleret 75013 Paris, France

Unfortunately they do not provide a good service to everyone, and I will never use them again, after ordering something, being quoted a delivery within five days, and then being told two weeks later that they did not have the item in stock, and would I like to have an alternative delivered.
It then took around six weeks to get my credit card refunded.

Theres always people queueing up to say things like that, but rarely can they provide proof.

I have had over 1000 successful dropship orders with them and not a single complaint. Every product has arrived on time and as described.

I bet you cant say the same about everyones beloved Currys.

Since when does someone need to provide proof of their own personal experience?!

When they are using that alleged experience to slander a company with a great record of service.
