Pixmania AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Options
Can anybody help. At beginning of November I purchased a camera from PIXMANIA it never arrived. After lots of wasted time, many emails, sworn statements, lies, misleadings, insistence on various forms of ID they eventually admitted (5th December) that parcel was lost and offered a refund which I accepted. NO MONEY HAS BEEN REFUNDED. I have emailed on numerous occasions NO REPLY. I now find it is impossible to contact them on the phone number on their website. My advise DO NOT TOUCH PIXMANIA WITH A BARGEPOLE!!! I paid by credit card, should I now contact my bank?

I've read a lot of negative things about Pixmania's service, their organisation and customer service doesn't seem to be the best!

If you can't get hold of them on the phone, it could just be due to the bank holiday?

Alternatively, as they're part of DSG (Curry's/PC World) you could give their head office a call on 0844 800 2030.
  • Thanks I'll do that.

Even if you used a Debit Card, still worth trying your bank/card issuer as the Visa debit card has a similar chargeback system.

In any case, report to your bank/card issuer and let them do the hard work ;) If enough people do this, the Visas and Mastercards of this world will have to revoke the merchant services for Pixmania.

Chargeback is different to Section 75.

There's no lower limit on chargeback...so use it!!

The ccc will try to fob you off...don't let them.

And add them to your email junk filter. They are one of the worst companies I have ever come across for sending endless spam.

how wrong you are. they are a french company, i use then as dropshipper and they provide a great service

DSG International Plc is a shareholder of the Pixmania group, but they are not part of the DSG chain

    Head office:

PIXmania 183 rue du Chevaleret 75013 Paris, France

I think that comment is a little extreme - DSG pretty much own the company - they certainly own the controlling stake. So although they aren't part of the DSG group of stores, they all but own them - and they do interact with each other.

That said, calling the DSG customer services will all but draw a blank - writing may get you further, but doubt it.

they do not own a controlling stake (they have tried to get this, but so far failed), ive used Pixmania for many year. they are just a large shareholder .
i do agree that calling DSG customer services will be useless as they are different companies.

Not very good at this, are you?

DSG bought a 75% (therefore controlling) stake in 2006

I'm reliably told it's much higher than this now (by someone who worked in DSG HO until recently)

Heck, DSG even list it on their corporate website as one of their brands!
