By the way, new series of 'One born every minute: what happened next?' starting on More4 at 10pm tonight. Catches up with some of the people whose labour we all watched a few months ago... I'm off to bed though - am knackered.
Sammie, breakfast tomorrow is apple, mango and satsuma with natural yoghurt - see you at 7?
Night all x
7 is fine with me thanks, I will bring my tribe
Night. Xx:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

fluff I know exactly how you feel - sometimes I am so happy I could just pop. (And some days I am so tired i could just walk out the door and not look back! But I still love him even on those days so I stay, lol!)
laura I know what you mean about the co sleeping. It was always a no no for me...but i think i'd have lost my marbles if i hadnt done it! And when we learnt lying down feeding....well lets just say we accidentally co sleep from time to time, when mummy gets so comfy and nods off, oops!
toni good luck for the bus, those first few outings are so daunting, but soon you will have it mastered
gilly what a big boy he is! How lovely!xx0 -
Thanks Sammie
He just looked so old today
it's quite sad, but good he's becoming a wee man too
It's not until you look back at photos etc you realise how much they have changed. Noah has a couple of long sleeved t shirts with buttons on the front, he always looks so grown up when he wears them.

Nutella can I come for brekkie too please???!
Hope poorly/upset babes are feeling better soon.
Sunshine glad this morning was better, hope tomorrow is even better. Then you're off on Friday? Bet your wee man is going to get spoilt rotten with cuddles!
I'm feeling much better thanks ladiesbit of a tough evening though, G was upset with himself (possibly teething) and super tired when OH got in from work but after 10 minutes OH just couldn't do anything with him - just crying non stop until I took over. So OH was a bit upset
. Even when I took him through to say night night he cried for the few seconds OH tried to cuddle him.
Going to make sure I take him for a trip out somewhere tomorrow afternoon so he gets a bit of sleep at least.
I have a yoghurt question for you - are you giving them normal "grown up" yoghurt or the special baby versions? After reading the blw book I'm a bit unsure of which of the baby versions are really necessary and which are just clever marketingNewborn thread member

My cold is better thanks Nutella, but I think I'm getting the sickness bug again I seriously hope not as it wiped me out for a week last time
But I've had a dodgy stomach all night and been sick already. Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies!

with the yogurt katie, I can't give it to A anyway but when I thought I could I used to give him Plum/Ellas, as they were the lowest in sugar and he had one every day. The Value range at the supermarkets are also really low
If it was a more occasional treat I probably wouldn't bother but depends how often he'd eat them. As it stands he gets non dairy ones now from H&B but they are ridiculously high so he only has them once or twice a week. Natural yogurt could be an option? It is quite bland though. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Aiden has plum yogs....no sugar
also have done natural or greek with some fruit mush.
Hope your bug isnt back gilly xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Thanks fluff, i breastfeed around family now, where as when she was first born i would go in another room so i am getting more confident in that department, whether i could breastfeed in public yet i dont know, maybe if i feel confident on friday ill give it ago
i know Elelyn, im probably worrying too much.... i tend to do that these days, ever since Maisie was born i find myself worrying about everything to do with her.
I am the worlds biggest worrier toni. I've practically driven myself mad worrying over all sorts of nonsense since Theo was born. If I didn't think he was feeding enough I thought he was feeding too much, if I didn't think he was sleeping enough I though he was sleeping too much etc. Crazy. You do gradually start to relax and everything gets easier though, honest. As for going out I made a point of deliberately going when I knew he would need a feed/change so that I would have to do it. Once you've done it once you're fine.Elelyn, how are you getting on now? Hope you're feeling better about everything and that you're getting lots of smiles!
Nutella things are much improved here, thanks for asking. Theo is doing brilliantly and he's smiling more and more each day now - occasionally he even does it for me although it's usually at someone else or just at thin air (I'm convinced he can see ghosts - DH thinks I'm crackers). I think I must be doing something right despite all my worries. And we really enjoyed our play date with Turtlemoose and Reuben this week

Of course you can come for breakfast Katie - the more the merrier!
Yoghurt - I bought Rachels Organic 'my first yoghurts' once as they're only sweetened with apple juice and most others have sugar added. But now I just buy normal natural ones - I get Yeo Valley as they're organic - and mix in fruit mush. Either a cube of something previously cooked from the freezer, like apple, pear or plum, or something fresh like banana or mango. Or I stir it into porridge. She hasn't complained so I'm sticking to this! It's also easier in that I buy the big pots and also eat it myself with cereal.0 -
Well Jonathan had his first vaccinations yesterday afternoon - he was very brave and only screamed for a few seconds and settled after cuddles and went to sleep in his car seat. He was very grizzly last night (I gave him a dose of infant paracetamol straight after the jabs and one 6 hours later as he was hot and crying loads as if he was in pain). My Mum is coming over for the day today to help me out so I hope he's ok today. His poor little legs have bled quite a lot from the injections - he had blood on his vest.
He has physio at 3pm for his arm too.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
