Might go steam some carrots for him to mush up. I've not done much so far, but he seems to prefer to feed himself with a spoon - if he has things in his hands he just looks at it, but put a loaded spoon in front of him and he grabs it super quick! Funny to watch :)

Does he get it straight in? When G gets hold of the spoon he tends to slide his hand right down into the food on the end and just chews it while the food goes everywhere! Gave him some steamed broccoli at tea time tonight - never seen such a mess! Not helped by him in tucking his bib and flicking everything that had been caught in it across the whole room!

They're a bit crap :o and still to be varnished but I'm surprised I managed it at all

Sounds a bit like my LO - she doesn't want to eat unless she's got her own spoon to hold on to, which she then uses to a) chew on, and b) smear food all around her face. When she's full, she picks up the bottom end of her bib and puts in her mouth, and then often also tries to take off her socks whilst her hands are still covered in mush! Pulling her socks off is a current favourite activity, but I'd rather she didn't do it whilst eating :o

Good day here today - had a nice long lunch with a couple of mum friends and their babies; at one point my LO and a my friend's little boy were chewing on opposite ends of the same Sophie (after she'd tried to pull his socks off, of course!) :o

Have finished clearing out and decluttering the study that will be LO's room, so we'll be painting this weekend - and then I get to put the wall stickers up, which is the most exciting bit! Speaking of exciting, and following on from Sammie's comment about bibs the other day... Today I opened a new pack of Pampers, and discovered that the boring farm animals had been replaced by jungle animals! :T So instead of LO's nappies being covered in sheep and chickens, they now have elephants, giraffes and lions on them! And then I thought that this might be a sign that I need to go back to work - I should NOT get that excited about animal pictures on nappies... :o

Oh, and the other exciting thing that happened today was that OH came home with four pretty cupcakes! :) One of his colleagues has started making and selling them, and brought boxes of them in to work in the hope that someone might love them and want to order some. I've already eaten two and they're very yummy... they will be my diet downfall this week, and I will regret it come Monday's weigh-in, but right now I'm happy in the knowledge I have another two for tomorrow :D

Gilly- well done you, it looks great. :D

Nutella - I'm going to have to sneak into Noah's room now to see what type of animals are in his pampers!!
I must admit my downfall is cupcakes, I looooooove cupcakes! :happyhear

Sammie, are you saying you don't know what type of animals he's got on his nappies?!.... Very disappointing :p

Boo to farm animals! I only bought these last week (Sainsburys - 3 for 2), so hopefully they'll appear in a shop near you very soon. If not, I think you should send a letter of complaint to Pampers.
