  • Oh boo. Am nowhere near southhampton etc :(

Aiden had a good day again. Lamb hotpot and apple crumble for his lunch and then we went off to meet my mum in town for my last Thursday lunch with here for a while!

Sammie, fab for your ds! You will have to get him a little treat for that!

Was a bit annoyed this morn, had an email from my manager to say we have temporarily moved offices as ours flooded (11month old multi million pound building!!!!) and that she has identified a spare desk for me as we are all split up. Apparently I am sat on my own where the other 3 girls are all sat together  wouldnt usually mind but its my first day in and I will prob be a bit sad and Im sat on my piggin own! The girl who covered my mat leave has 3 weeks for our handover so it would help if we were sat together!

    Oh well! Rant over :)

Mozzy, not forgot you- replying now.

Just had an e-mail from Toys R Us - they're doing an online flash sale with up to 60% off selected items, ends midnight Friday. Their website is 'experiencing technical problems' so I wasn't able to check what's on offer atm, but if anyone's interested it might be worth having a look later.

My delivery finally turned up this afternoon :) The playmat is fab, and most importantly LO seems to like it too! I sent off a complaint to Amazon this morning, and received a reply saying 'we've received an update from HDNL and your order is out for delivery'. Uhm, yes I knew that - the HDNL online tracker told me that, the reason I contacted you was to complain that my parcel wasn't delivered on the guaranteed delivery date, i.e. yesterday. Their e-mail was signed off with 'Your feedback is helping us build Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company'. :rotfl:

Yep, I've had several of those 'customer-centric' emails, telling me what a wonderful customer I am and blaming Royal Mail. It's not RM who think 1st class is a next day delivery service.

Thanks for the car seat info Gilly, think i'll have to go somewhere and try one. I like having him in the front when I'm driving without big son.

I'm near southampton and always up for a trip to Ikea. Who fancies arranging something?

  • Morning all

S'hampton is 3hrs from me so unfortunately Im out.

Aiden woke at his usual 630 so gave him milk and lay him in our bed, always do this as he rolls about and plays with OH while I get dressed etc. Well he fell back to sleep and is still sleeping now!! This never happens! My last day of mat leave and he now decides to have a lie in!

I cant leave him and go downstairs as he is in our bed so am sat on the landing having just done my make up there!

Will have to wake him soon as we have nusery at 930.

Hope everyone had good nights. When he is at nursery today think I will sort my wardrobe out with work clothes.

Morning all! been crazily hectic moving, thank god for my mum and dad, they have done so much! Moving house with a 5 month old is not recommended!! We haven't even finished yet, there's probably 3 car loads of little bits and pieces as the old house, plus need to clean it and touch up decorations. And of course the new place is just mounds and mounds of boxes!

sunshine I think I'm the closest to you if I remember rightly (wolves), i know elelyn is near-ish to me too. But think that's it for the Midlands.

Had a terrible night last night, Reuben went to bed at 9 and woke up at 9:45, 11, 12:45, 1:45, 3:15 and then at 4 i was losing the will to live so just brought him in bed with me, I slept until 8:15, Reu has managed an extra 20 mins but is stirring.

He wanted boob every time, but didn't seem a comfort thing, was almost like he was snacking all night?! He hasn't slept well for a little while now, and is hungry when he wakes, just not as bad as last night usually! He is nearly 23.5 weeks, maybe it's time to start some solids....I don't know, I wanted to wait a little longer (even though I'm excited to start!).

I feel your pain, turtlemoose. Freddie's about a month younger than Reuben and he's going through a munchy phase at the moment. Your nights sound similar to mine - exhausting isn't it?

I'm determined not to give in and start spoon-feeding though! I want to do BLW, and in terms of that method, F's nowhere near ready for solids. He can't sit up, he doesn't show any interest in food and he's still only four months. I guess it's just booby for now and not much sleep <sigh>. It won't last for ever though will it? They're only little for a while.
