Lol! I should say I hoover 6 times a day as I am such a brilliant housewife! But no - DH calls me the hairy hairball and my hair is the destroyer of hooversI moult more then any animal, and usually I burn the hoovers out within 3 months. My Dyson lasted nearly 3 years and it was secondhand so that had real longevity.
I've got to ask - what is so great about these Jumperoo's? I always see people on MSE getting them, but I'd never heard of them before and they seem expensive.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

Tell me about it! My hair's down to my waist and I can never seem to get the stairs carpet clean of it. Yuck.I've got to ask - what is so great about these Jumperoo's? I always see people on MSE getting them, but I'd never heard of them before and they seem expensive.
They enable you to leave your child relatively safe and do the washing up/nip to the pub. That's actually the real reason why I bought a new bin; it's the same height and width as Freddie. Whenever I fancy a few shandies I just pop him in, shut the lid and pop to the boozer knowing he's out of harm's way."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I don't drink so I obviously don't need the bin. Maybe the Jumperoo though as I do wash up...Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
Pics please sammie and Nutella!
I couldn't find the Oreo chocolate so settled for an aero. I'm not fussy when it comes to chocolate really. Got a few new books from the library to read to George. I think reading with him as he gets a bit older is one thing I'm really looking forward to, I love stories!
Katyliz the jumperoo is fab, as fluff said it lets you nip to the loo (or the pub!) while littlie is relatively safe. Plus George really likes it! It must be good for them too, strengthens the legs etc. they are expensive but if you keep your eye out they do get put on special sometimes, we got ours for about £50 new from amazon. eBay is always worth a look to.Newborn thread member

Love the buggy Sammie he looks all snuggly in there. I liked the stripey version when I originally went pushchair shopping.
katie - you've made the Jumperoo sound good. If bubba gets some money for Christmas I might look out for one as she'll be too young for a while yet.
I'm another one that loves books. Reading to them is so much fun. It actually makes me sad now that the big two read by themselves, they grow up so fast! I'm looking forward to reading Room on the Broom and all the other favourites again this timeCross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
Hi all. Gosh, it’s taken me ages to catch up today! I started reading this morning but a friend from work came to visit at 11am and she’s only just left! Was nice to have some adult company during the day, I must say.
Hi Ikkle - he is gorgeous and what a big boy!
Lovely pic of your little man katiechoc.
Hi Emsbet. I saw the pic of Connor before you took it down - he is smashing. I often wondered how you were getting on after I had Theo but in the first few weeks I didn’t really get a chance to get back on the forums. Glad to hear things are going well for you.
Sexymouse yay for the breastfeeding breakthrough. I often wonder if I should have persevered more than I did before going onto formula. I really admire you.
Theo slept from 10pm until 7am last night! From 5am he was doing that flailing around and making animal noises though. He’s still asleep when he does it but he does it constantly, every few minutes, until he eventually wakes up or I get him up. It’s as though he’s about to wake up but then he drops back off again. I’ve been told to leave him until he wakes properly and starts crying but I’m not sure. I’m not convinced he’s not hungry so I think tonight I might try and give him a bottle when he starts doing it and see if he will go back off to sleep properly after.
Quick question, I know pushchairs have to be lie-flat for newborns but how long are they classed as newborn and when can they be in a more sat up position?
Sorry for long post!0 -
Jannine..... Jannine?..... Are you there? Did you survive the nappy?....
LOL!!:rotfl:
I survived (just about!) end up with poo in my hair, on Poppy's hands, it had soaked through her vest and cardie - how can such a sweet, small girl have such vile poo's?!!
Lots been going on here today, I've enjoyed reading the hoover and bin talk! I have a dyson and a Harry hoover, which is the Henry hoover for pet homes! I much prefer the dyson though, its easier on my back and picks up dog hair better.
Noah looks mega cosy in his pram Sammie. I took a funny picture of Poppy in her pram today (will post in shortly!) with a right face on her, she has been grumpy today, really wish this tooth would appear!
Yay for the jumperoo Nutella! Hope you've managed to put it together ok!
