Just popping over from the pregnancy thread to ask if anyone has used a swaddle for their baby. This is one of the ones I've bought http://www.amazon.co.uk/Summer-Infant-Swaddle-Pod-Ivory/dp/B003FUZF98/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350579471&sr=8-1. But I'm now thinking its too thin for this time of year. I thought Summer was the make of it but now I'm wondering if it means the season. With DD we just used to swaddle her in a blanket until she was big enough for a sleeping bag so I've never used them before. Would it be ok to put baby in this and then but a blanket on top to keep him cosy. I feel like a first time mum as its been nearly 11 years since I've had a newborn!:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

Scottish chick - our swaddle blanket isn't so cocooned so now niall is 10 weeks he has one arm out, his legs have been our for weeks now as he has bad wind and needs to raise them to get it out. Yes ok to put blanket on top that's what we do.
Yay sexymouse, tears in my eyes when I read your post.
Dyson here too, love it, has been going for 6 years strong, no probs.
So gOt Niall weighed today and has only put on 2oz over a week eekk so the plan is express, express, express to up my milk supply and supplement his 8 feeds a day with 2 bottles of expressed milk of 70-100ml. Reweigh in a week. If he hasn't put 5ozs on then they will suggest formula:(
I really want to exclusively breastfeeding for 6 months, Niall is nearly 10weeks, every week is a bonus. I have had so many probs with bfing but I want to stick to it.
Always having mil and my mum making negative comments about me breastfeeding! I am getting fed up. Niall doesn't sleep well in the day in Moses basket, you put him down he just wakes. Mil said if he was on formula he would sleep soundly as he would be full and my mum just keeps telling me to give him a dummy:mad:

We use the summer swaddle too... We have a lovely fleecy one for winter... Got it in large though (14-21lb I think) unsure if they do small ones... We still cover with thin blanket if it's cold on a night0
