I imagine it would be very hard for you. You seem like such a positive person, I obv didnt know you before this thread, but you seem to have a really good outlook on everything
Off up to bed, night ladies xx
I never use to be so positive, but I am now! I have a little miracle girl who is gorgeous - how could I not be happy and positive!
Think I'll be off to bed shortly as well - good night all! Hope babies and mummies have a good night sleep.

My SMP ended last month so for the next 2 months I'll get no wage!! This must be the first time in over 10 years that I've not had a wage coming in! Luckily we have savings, but if I can make a bit extra it all helps!

I am just on SMP atm...and I hate it. Luckily I have loads of holiday to use up at work so Oct I will get a full pay even though I dont go back till late Nov.
My OH has a really good wage and has been topping up my account, and we have savings I could dip into if I wanted but I just like to have my own money if you know what I mean? I am a bit of a baby clothes addict and OH says we have plenty of clothes for Aiden now, which we do-you could clothe a small army with his wardrobe. Buuuut as soon as I get my wage in Oct I have seen the cutest chinos and cable knit jumper in next I am getting him
I know I could get it with OH's wage but he has bought him everything for the last few months, as my SMP purely just paid the mortgage, and I want to treat him

You sound like me! My hubby earns a good wage, but I like having my 'own' money as well! I'm back at work in November as well and have 22 days holiday pay which I will get in my November pay so will be very handy before Christmas! I could have taken November off instead of getting the money, but I've already been off for a year so it was just prolonging the inevitable! Plus the money will be great!
I'm a baby clothes addict as well, I use to love getting clothes for me, now its all for Poppy! I will have to cut back this month though! I have got into a very bad habit off walking into town on the pretence of getting exercise, getting a coffee and eclair with my sister and then hitting the shops! Plus my sis is a bad influence, 'oh look how cute this is, you have to get her this etc..'

I'm not to great at posting pics and stuff, but I use this web-site:

Its idiot proof and easy to use, and if I can figure it out, anybody can!

I know what you mean, financially I could take another month off but would have none of my own money again and I am really looking forward to getting my own income again.
Plus I will have to go back at some point, it will be hard whenever it happens.
I always buy him things too, infact my mum has asked me to pop to the retail park today for her to change a birthday present for my niece as she is at work, I am already thinking hmmm what can I get Aiden!!! No no no...need to stop!
Hope everyone slept well? Got a ton of washing to get through here. xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Know what yo mean about the ton of washing sunshine. How does such a small person create so much mess?! I have in the past mused on how sammie manages to find the time to get all her washing done....3 boys and an OH? The house must be nothing but dirty pants and socks :rotfl:0

Hi all, I am gatecrashing as I haven't actually had baby yet, I am 24 weeks pregnant (hope you don't mind). I was wondering what you would recommend in terms of bedding for when our little boy arrives?
I was thinking of the sleeping bags that he could wear rather than a blanket as there is less chance of suffocation with those. But am concerned that he will not be able to kick the sleeping bag off if he gets too hot as he would a blanket.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks x0
