Afternoon all
Hope everyone's well and enjoying their Saturdays - lovely weather here today, not very warm, but I love those clear, crisp and sunny early autumn days. Went for a long walk with OH and LO this morning.
Gilly, hope you're OK and able to sort things out with your OH - it's so easy (but so not nice!) to feel like you're being taken for granted when you're at home all day and your life revolves around childcare and housework. Hope you're getting used to your glasses - I've been wearing glasses and/or contacts since primary school, and remember very well that weird feeling each time my eye sight changed and I got stronger ones!
Caspie and Safesound - glad I'm not the only one! My LO's wardrobe's so much more exciting than mine! She only has three coats though, but then we don't live in Wales (although I did for 3 years, and agree that you're justfied in being prepared for every weather-related eventuality)...
Hope everyone's having a good day x0 -
Sammie - go get your DP another beer!0

Can anyone recommend a brand or type of child proof locks for kitchen cupboards and drawers? I'm a bit bewildered by the various options and not quite sure what I should be looking for. I'd like something that: 1) Stops my LO from eating dry pasta/tasting cleaning products/throwing cutlery all over the floor, but 2) Doesn't drive the adults of the house mad because they're a faff to open, and 3) Doesn't involve any screws and drilling, as we'd like to be able to remove them one day.
Any advice would be much appreciated0 -
I must admit i'm not sure what she has coat wise sepcifically, i will have to go and look now! Wherabouts did you live Nutella?
Cant offer any advice, i must admit we havent used any, G is almost 2 and a half, we just never got around to it!

Caspie, if I remain as confused as I am at the moment re. locks, then there's a chance we won't get around to it either!
I lived in Swansea - went to university there and loved it

:rotfl: he is pretty drunk now!! I have planned our day for tomorrow as I said he needs to take me out to make up for today!
We are going to a car boot sale first thing then he is going to do a dump run to get rid of our old internal doors then we are off to look at new pushchairs before heading off to a nearly new baby sale and then home.
I never used cupboard locks either, we have a tiny kitchen so I kept the kids out of the kitchen with a stair gate when they were little.

:rotfl:He's so going to regret getting drunk today! Especially bearing in mind he's going to have to deal with all that with a hangover! :eek:0 -
Been meaning to say thanks to whoever mentioned Karvol (I know it was Sammie or Sunshine, but my baby brain can't handle two names beginning with S...
) - my LO has a cold, and for the past two nights we've been using the Karvol plug-in and it really does seem to help her breathe. I'm not keen on the smell, but given the choice between a baby crying all night and a smelly bedroom, I'd happily choose the latter
