  • Katie his toes touch the floor, he loves bouncing on your lap if you hold him upright, so he was in his element being able to do it all by himself! He wasn't too sure about the lights/sounds though, he just watched rather suspiciously...but turn the sound off and bounce bounce bounce!

Gilly thank you for sharing about your relationship, I don't mean this badly but it's good to know I'm not the only one struggling....I often read on here about people's OH's doing things for them etc and feel quite jealous. It doesn't help all the snapping etc means we often go to bed separately or in a huff, so no naughty business, and that doesn't put me in a particularly good mood! Don't think I've ever had such a drought, I'm sure that doesn't help the tension/anxiety etc.

Sleepy dust to all, I quite luckily have a baby who has slept from 9:30 to 5:30 for over a week now, long may it continue!!

God, I can't help there, I am never in the mood. I can think of nothing more horrific  probably is the cause of a lot of our arguments though :o

Don't get me wrong my OH can be amazing but then he can be a such a Sh!thead too. It's hard, I think going from being 1 of 2 who can practically within reason do whatever you want, when you want. If you want a long lie you can get it, if you're hungry you eat, if you need the toilet you go, and then you are scarily bound by a small person. It's all taken away, it takes so long to adjust too I found, even now I have days where I think I'd kill for some free time.

All that being said you both need to have that time, even an hour every few days to go and do something you want to do, whether it's a long bath, a run, walk, coffee with a book, as does he. So feed baby, and say to OH I'm going to do "X, Y & Z" and let him do the same. I find if you get some of that time back, it really helps your frame of mind, there isn't as much resentment. I don't find sitting on the sofa watching telly is quite the same, it's too sluggish, I always feel better when I've taken time away and had my own thoughts.

May be a lot of crap but it makes me feel better :o

For teething, I can't recommend Anbesol Liquid enough. It's amazing, and soothes him really quickly x

  • Hello everyone,

Thought I'd come over and say hi. I know quite a few of you from the pregnancy thread/Facebook group.
I had my LO on the 22nd he was just under 37 weeks so was a bit of a shock through emergency section. So I'm still thinking im pregnant sometimes, but should probably stop lurking on the pregnancy thread so much!
Gonna sneak bubba back in his basket and hopefully get a couple more hours of sleep :)
