Freddie had a tongue tie which is thankfully all sorted now but a couple of midwives and the paediatrician in the hospital all said he was fine. It was only because I was adamant that we got it resolved. Some ties aren't obvious, particularly posterior ones but they can still affect feeding. I would have thought that the most common reason for a short tongue is a tongue tie.

Yes fluff he was checked in hospital, no tongue tie:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -
Sexymouse - I use reusable little lamb plus mothercare breastpads although my nursing bras are moulded cup, I think they would show on a non moulded bra. They work well and I wash them with baby stuff.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150

Hello ladies!
I know I've asked this question quite a while back at the beginning of my pregnancy, but I'm now at 37 weeks today and wondering what breast pads to use. I had a bra fitting for a nursing bra yesterday and whereas all my maternity and normal bras have had a moulded cup (think t-shirt bra) these ones don't and I'm a bit worried about breast pads showing through (I currently have tommee tippee ones as my breasts started leaking at around 16 weeks). I've also just looked up the price of them and they seem to have gone up by nearly 50% since I last bought them too, so was wondering whether they are still economical at £4.49 for 50 as opposed to the £3 I paid last time?
Do any of you use reusable ones instead of disposable? If so, which ones? I'm hoping to be able to breast feed, so would need some that can cope with this and don't slip or leave me with wet patches through my clothes.
Many thanks in advance for your responses.
sexymouse xx
I'm using disposable simply because I've not got round to trying anything else out yet. I use the lansinoh ones and they're fine. My friend recommended the mothercare reusable ones if you're after reusable."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I'm sure that's the case, and I don't want to labour the point, but that's what they said to me too and Freddie deffo had a tie!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I thought things would be better when we lived together (ie your house, your rules, becomes OUR house, OUR rules that we discuss and mutually agree).... But that hasn't happened and I am resentful towards the both of them for it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I am sad so say I find myself thinking more and more recently that I had no idea what I was getting in to. Reuben is wonderful but...was he the right thing to do?? I just don't know the answer to that, and just typing that has made me cry because it's just all so sad.
Hey, turtle, of course Reuben was the right thing to do. Think of that lovely post about his first laugh. Whatever happens, you've got your little boy and he's pure and innocent and right."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Turtle, I'll delete any responses to your previous posts so your privacy is protected xxxxx
Paul bathing baby and doing the settling! Hoorah!!! An hour too myself whilst baby is awake! lol xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Turtle you don't sound bitter and nasty, you sound like someone who has (completely understandably) come to the end of her tether. I really hope you can sort it out one way or the other. And I second what toniq said re Reuben being the right thing to do, except I can't word it anything like as eloquently! XxxNewborn thread member

Agree with what Katiechoc & toniq say.
You really do sound like things have got to you (which is understandable and you are not bitter etc) and tiredness and baby is a hard combo. R is gorgeous and a real credit to you and just look at him in the jumperoo !! You did do the right thing he is gorgeous !! And you can cuddle him any time. I hope you can have a proper talk with oh but we are here if you need to vent x0
