    Having a crap day:

Erin's screechy, chucking a strop when her 9oz bottles are finished as she'd like more, chucking a strop when she pulls her dummy out, refusing to nap (and now refusing to go to bed)

    Hoover's died

Some prat's scratched a chunk out of our car overnight and driven off

And it's not as if I can go and admit that I'm having a crap time, my anxiety disorder's in overdrive since they took me off my tablets and what-not - cos they'll just ring social services on my case again.

Can't physically fit more in the bottles! Plus one of the HVs is muttering and huffing about her weight gain being so inconsiderate as to not follow the smooth line but to spike up and down (within the blooming centile lines) so of course she's now got me utterly paranoid (especially since I have all the SS letters "encouraging" me to develop positive relationships with my HVs - i.e. "Do what they tell you or we'll get involved again")! She's already on hungry baby milk - I'm running out of options and they're effing useless - just don't listen to what you're telling them and just start waffling on about PND (which the doctor's ruled me OUT of having - but they don't listen to THAT either!)

  • Dizzi - sorry to butt in, I am a lurker and my daughter is actually 18 months which is why I dont post but I seen your post about your DD draining her 9oz of milk. Mine was crazy for her milk and still is actually. Is there anyway that after her 9oz you could make her another bottle with jst 2 or 3oz in it? She may just need a wee tiny bit more to fill her up iykwim. My DD would guzzle and guzzle and was on hungry milk aswell, so I understand your frustration.
As for the HV's that are wanting to keep your DD on a blooming centile line I would tell her to deal with the screaming baby that is still hungry??

*hugs* dizzi, hope Erin at least sleeps well for you so ou can recharge overnight.

Thanks Toniq for the info about the bumbo safety issue, I've emailed the uk address to see about getting the safety belt for it. But from what I've read pretty much all the injuries that have happened from kiddies falling out of them have been when the idiot parents have put them in the bumbo then put the bumbo on a table, or a kitchen counter so when baby falls out they fall from really high up. So I think as long as its on the floor it'll be ok, and supervised. Good to know the tables aren't all that too, thanks.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a stroller please? At the moment we're using a travel system that we were given second hand which is ok, but when he's a bit bigger I'm treating myself to a new stroller as he'll be in it longer and the current frame is a bit rickety. Thanks!

    Evening ladies and babies :)

So tired, think going to have an early night.

Anyone else on orange having network trouble? I am

Heres a topic to discuss, if you want to - how much does everyone spend on a weekly shop? We were talking to brother in law earlier who has one child and thry spend £90 per week where as we spend about £60 inc milk and usually some form of clothing for Aiden which finds its way into the trolley :o I would be interested to know what everyone else spends?! Xx
