    Morning sunshine

Glad Aiden slept better. Have a nice day with your mum and stepdad.

Last week of the school holidays, I don't know where the Tom has gone  so this week will be getting the boys back into a routine and no more late nights for them.

    Morning all,

Glad aiden slept a bit better for you sunshine, an unbroken run makes all the difference. Georgeslept from bedtime (7.30) til 5 and then til just gone 8, second night in a row! He's super smiley at the moment too :p

Thanks for the stroller info, I'll have a look at that link gilly.

Re shopping we budget for about £120 a month which includes everything except nappies. I normally do one or 2 big £50-60 shops then top up as and when for milk, bread etc. We rarely go over that to be honest, but we are big fans of tesco value for a lot of things and we batch cook a lot too,and pad meals out with veg and kidney beans to use less meat. Oh made a huge pot of chilli yesterday, I've got to box it up and get it in the freezer but we've probably got a good 30 portions and it probably only cost £10-12. Tesco value kidney beans all the way!

I really need to budget a little better for meals I think. I might batch cook like you katiechoc I did a load before I had Aiden but haven't done any since.

I asked because this month and next month I am just on SMP which is a big hit to what we usually have per month. My OH is a bit of a sod for putting treats into the trolley though which doesn't help the bill!!

I think next week I will get a big pack of mince and lots of chicken and make some currys and chillis etc.

Glad George is sleeping better katie, hopefully he settles into that pattern for you :)

The weather is so weird atm!! I put Aiden in long sleeves today as it looked really cold and now the sun is shining!!

Thanks triangle! We're serious cheapskates, all our cash goes towards paying off the mortgage, sooner we do that the sooner we can move.

Sunshine have you tried online shopping? I do it fairly often for the big shop, if you go for one of the cheaper delivery slots its worth it I think. And they carry it all in for you which makes a big difference to me as we're in a first floor flat! And it means you can't impulse buy quite so much ;)

Oh my goodness I soooo want one of those cosatto strollers. Love them!

Katiechoc - I need to follow your lead and start batch cooking.

Im another fan of ordering my shopping online! I find I'm not so tempted to buy treats etc and you can see how much you are spending which is fab if you're trying to stick to a budget.

Strollers, I like the Cosatto ones, they all have different names but they are essentially the same with different designs. I think they are called "Yo"

We had an elderly Maclaren with my younger brother that was fantastic. Was even more fantastic when we went away, there were two on the baggage carousel on the return bit from the airport (back in the days before you could use them nearer the plane) and the other family picked up our aging one and left their newer one!

Haha love it dizzi, free upgrade!

I've had a lovely morning, met another mum for a drink at the baby cafe but the playroom was full of toddlers so we ended up having a nice walk and lunch at hers instead - the toddlers were a bt of a handful, George almost got trodden on a couple of times!

  • I love cosetto buggies but they are too big for my boot grrr

We spend£50 a week on shop, we don't eat a lot of meat but what we do buy is organic. We cook from scratch. No wipes or nappies included as still using freebies.

Had a cry this morning when Hv was hear, worried and frustrated that can't read nialls cries. It's hard when u don't know what t do to stop them crying.

Niall now weighs 9lbs 2 so has put 2ozs on from birth weight. Also got him registered today yay!
