Is it possibly a problem that a baby could overdose on some of the vitamins / minerals if they have too much formula? (I have no idea just throwing the thought out there!). I presume it's carefully set up so that it has the right % RDA and all that and if you feed more than the recommended 'dose' you might overdo things?0

Sunshine - We spend on average £80 a week on everything including nappies, milk etc. I think if I meal planned I could get away with spending less though. I should read the old style board more!!

Heres a topic to discuss, if you want to - how much does everyone spend on a weekly shop? We were talking to brother in law earlier who has one child and thry spend £90 per week where as we spend about £60 inc milk and usually some form of clothing for Aiden which finds its way into the trolleyI would be interested to know what everyone else spends?! Xx
Hi Sunshine!!
Oh wow, we spend more than that. But then again, we have 3 cats and we buy the cartons of milk, not the powder. Plus alcohol lol. Plus we live on microwave meals haha. So i'd say on average, the first shop of the month, we are usually stocking up on toiletries, cleaning stuff etc, so its around £150-£200, and that usually includes the nappies and wipes for the month. Then after that, the next weeks shop till the end of the month is usually around £100 each xx
Edit - plus we buy loads of Ella's Kitchen pouches lol xDFD February 2012

Hello mozzy!! I think its interesting to see what others spend.
Our bill doesnt include nappies and wipes as I get those at boots, and toileteriies (?) usually there too so would prob be a bit more if I included that.
Hope you and Charlie are wellxxx

Shopping we spend around £80 a fortnight on our main shop. (no nappies, milk or wipes)
Then top up of around £20-£25 a week I'd say. So overall about £60-£65 a week.
I don't buy any ready meals at all though, but I do spend a lot on chicken, fresh fruit and veg (costs a flippin' fortune) and Robinsons double concentrate, we go through bottles of that stuff
Our milk is on prescription, nappies are reusable, and wipes I buy as and when they're on offer, but haven't bought any in months! xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Strollers, I like the Cosatto ones, they all have different names but they are essentially the same with different designs. I think they are called "Yo"

No midnight cuddles last night :j 8:30-545 although he was awake 5:45-7:15 and is now asleep on our bed but at least I had a big stretch of sleep rather than broken up chunks.
Off to a garden centre later with my mum and stepdad and then lunch out

Hi Sunshine
We are desperately trying to cut down our weekly shop. I budgeted £50 a week for when on maternity leave but currently its been £90 or £80 :eek:This includes everything - milk, toiletries, nappies, dog stuff etc. I try to meal plan and shop as best I can but we still have a long way to go - although did manage £70 yesterday...still not good enough thoughPerhaps the target of £50 is too low...but other people can do it so we must be able to...one day!
