I'm sure we will make up, we are just both very stubborn and refuse to back down! Since having Poppy I have mellowed and will apologise if I'm in the wrong, but this time he is in the wrong and I'm feeling a bit fed up with him.
Yeah the Doctor thought it was very funny Toniq, he said she has a very good aim! I was mortified though (no idea why, its only natural after all!)

Poppy's nickname is Poopy Poppy after the poo incident on the Doctor's tie, I think it will be a name that sticks with her for life!! :rotfl::heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Brilliant bargains Triangle! I wish I'd got a few things now really, there was a bath seat for £2 and some foam floor mats too, but I didn't as we wouldn't have really used them just yet. I'm sure they're the type of thing that's always knocking taround at carboots though, maybe next week!
Hope your oh comes round soon janine
I finally got G into his cot at bedtime and for the first time in days he hasn't woken up howling, must be worn out. He hasn't pooped since Friday now, plenty of wet nappies though but I guess that isn't helping his mood. I'm dreading it when it happens, hope the nappy is up to the job! Do you think it's anything to worry about? (I mean should I be worrying about the fact he hasn't pooped, not should I be worrying about the nappy's capabilities)

I wouldn't worry to much Katie, as long as he doesn't seem uncomfortable and isn't straining loads. Poppy sometimes goes 3/4 days without a poo and then we have 3 in a day!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I went carbooting today - got 11 bits of clothing for Reuben for a total of £3.40, very happy! Including some Next jeans, Debenhams tops...I'll be checking out many more car boots in the future for kids stuff. Also got some Beast Quest books for 50p each for OH's older son, he loves them and they're about £5 each new.
Reuben has had THREE proper naps today (I'm counting anything more than an hour as 'proper'. Astonishing! And he has gone up in his cot from 9:10 tonight (usually its 10). I'm definitely finding the more he sleeps, the better he sleeps, if that makes sense? Ie if I can get him to have a decent nap in the morning then he is more likely to have a decent nap in the afternoon.
We are supposed to be going on holiday to me parents' place on Sunday (France). But there is a problem with Reuben's passport, the passport office are less than helpful, and it looks like we probably won't get his passport in time...I'm absolutely gutted, trying not to be too negative as we might get it, but it's not likely. I don't get to see my mum and dad very often, and theyve only met Reuben once, so if this doesn't work out then saying I'll be disappointed is a bit of an understatement
Hope everyone has sleepy babies tonight!
Oh and Katie Reuben did 4 days earlier this week (he's usually daily!) but then did a huuuuuge poo. As long as he seems happy and doesnt have a hard tummy then I wouldn't worry....just be ready to be impressed when it does come lol!0 -
Poppy has a trumpy bum but we are lucky that she doesn't smell, just makes some very loud noises! At our last Paed appointment the Consultant had hold off her with his hand on her bum (she was naked!) and she did the loudest trump, I was mega embarrassed and kept apologising! Poor Doctor, when she was days old I remember him examining her through the windows in the incubator and she trumped and did a poo at the same time, it shot out her bum and landed on his tie! They must be use to it though!
Had a falling out with OH tonight, so upstairs on my own on the laptop.

Erin just slapped the doctor as he was jabbing away in her heel for the umpteenth blood test of the day. I cheered her on.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hey Ladies,
Its quiet on here today! Really proud of my little Poppy, she has rolled all the way over for the first time today!! She has been trying so hard for weeks and never quite managed it, but today she finally made it! I know lots of your LO's have been doing this for ages, but I feel like its a real achievement and feel so proud of her! Just remembering back to the awful weeks as a 1lb 15oz helpless girl in an incubator and looking at her now rolling around her Nursery floor - she's come so far!!
Hope all ok and having a easy Sunday afternoon, weather is grim here so not been out, just sorted Poppy's clothes out and put them away in her new chest of draws.
Take care.
xx
