Hee Hee mirror...my boy used to think 4am was a fantastic opportunity to play!

Well we had a brill night! LO fed at 10 (a measly 3oz) then woke at 2 with a leaky nappy (daddy didn't quite put it on right!) then after changing the nap and clothes he seemed bright eyed but I settled him within 15 mins and he slept on till I woke him at 7!!!!!! OMG I can't believe it!

Alison how are things with dropping the dream feed? I've decided to stick with it so I don't feel bad pushing him to not feed again during the night. Not sure how long he'll need it tbh as he doesn't take much. I guess this might be the rice. He's only having a small amount around 2pm so far.

i have a leaflet here from the h.v it says not to leave the baby in the car seat for more than an hour. until they are 3 months old.

we had another good night. This morning i had a good chat with other half. Seems to have cleared the air a bit

i am going to a mother and baby group for a bit this morning then later a breastfeeding support group got loads to do today

doglover well done lets hop ethis is a sign of things to come.

i now have to wake samuel to get him dressed/fed and off to have his injections bless him. i then have to do some shopping for my nan as she isnt well, then go get some new trainers for my eldest as he has lost yet another pair at school grrrrr he has cost me a fortune since starting seniors but he needs the trainers for this wekend as they rock climbing session sat and then paintballing sunday.

i sure the kids have a better social life than me

Sounds like Noah! My OH works nights and when hes at work I dont engage with Noah during the night, just get him up change his nappy, feed him, then bed.
When OH is at home he starts pulling faces at him making him laugh, tickling him and blowing raspberrys on his belly - then wonders why he doesnt want to go back to sleep! :rotfl:

Hi Koalamummy and Bella. Welcome over!

Doglover things aren't going too smooth the last few nights, but he really does seem to be a bit 'off' after his 4 month jabs. He has also been incredibly windy and i started using gripe water again. I could hear him trumping away in his sleep through the baby monitor, then when i went up he did loads more and woke himself up. I just couldn't settle him again so I did feed him about midnight. He took five oz and completely conked out til 5.30 am. So happy days. And he was so much happier this morning for having had a decent sleep. I don't think I can dream feed him anymore as it made him too windy. The midnight feed worked well only because he was awake and able to bump properly. He seems very hungry these last few days so maybe he is hitting a growth spell? Just hope we find a better nighttime routine next week!!!!
Off to baby swimming this morning :-)

Hi all

Sorry havn't had chance to read back.

We had an awful night last night was up10-3.30. Nothing would settle her, kept feeding,burping,nappy and cuddle nothing seems to work. She would start crying and wriggling and id offer her feed and it would take her a few seconds to latch on then she would come off and start crying/screaming again. I nearly gave in and give her a dummy but she didnt take to it. I just didn't know what to do. I gave her another feed for about 20mins and didn't burp her just put her to sleep, think she woke up and made grunting sort of noises.

Might put her on her play mat today so she can have a wriggle.

Last night she had a feed at 7 then went to sleep at 7.45. Should i wake her at 10 for a nappy change and maybe a feed. As she was asleep i didn't wrap up her up in her night blanket so should i off done that?

Do you change your LO into a different outfit at night?

Sorry to hear you had a bad night Laura. It is awful when you can't do anything to get them to sleep.

Personally i would change her nappy and feed when she wakes up but if you want to try the dreamfeed route could do it then.

When Poppy was little and only wore babygrows i would still change her at night so she knew it was nightime if you know what i mean. Was sort of the start of a routine.
