Does anyone have any recommendations for a monitor? I want to get Finn into his own room asap but not without a really good monitor and I haven't a clue where to start.

We have the tommee tippee one with sensor pad, it was a present so we didnt even have to make a decision about it!

I find it very reasurring to have, even though Noah is in the room with us!
Is slightly annoying when I take him out of bed for a feed in the night and forget to turn it off - makes a very loud pitch noise! And I do find myself getting up in the night to check I have turned it on - OH says im too much of a worrier!
The sound is also very good on it.

OH wants me to put Noah in his room, not sure im quite ready yet, never mind what he wants :rotfl:

  • I saw that Tommy Tippee one in the Asda baby leaflet for £60 - would you say its good value Flower? (even though you didn't pay for it :D)

Sorry to be full of questions but Finn is a snacker and I've been wondering if anyone has any experience of getting breastfed babies to eat for longer? The baby whisperer suggests using a dummy but I'm not sold on that idea.

i have a baby monitor with a camera now idea if it is any good it is still in the box!

Yeah it is hard with other half and his ex. Her new partner lives with her and doesnt seem fazed by the situation. Although she is quite strong willed and i think it is her way of nothing! my other half is trying to keep everyone happy and do the best for his kids but it is not really working for me! I have cut him some slack as i really dont think he was coping with upsetting everyone. He was very low on Monday

so samuel weighs 13lb 10 oz now, at nearly 14 weeks, not put on as much weight as i would of liked but he has had two weeks of not being well and hardly eating so something is better than nothing. x will catch up on posts in a bit as dinner is burning lol

I think so :) When we were first given it I said to OH I wouldnt have spent that much money but now we have it in use I find it really reasurring to have - and I think will be even more so once Noah goes into his room.
You can turn it on so just the sensor pad is on (like we do while he is in our room) or you can turn both the monitor and pad on.
The first few times I put Noah up to bed I had the monitor turned up to the max volume in case I couldnt hear him, it nearly deafened me when he did cry :rotfl:

I would definitely buy it again if I had to.

Just lost a long post - doh!

Was just saying that wed had a good day, went to breastmates which id recomend and am hoping for a good nights sleep.

I remember being told that its not good for babys back to be in a bouncer, chair or car seat for long. Does anyone know how long is too long?

Winnie, is finn really hungry when you feed him? Perhaps you could try distracting for an extra 5 mins? Or it could be that hes still building your supply up for a growing spurt

I was told 2 hours hun though I'm not sure where I heard that. I make sure on any journeys longer than that we stop and get Sadie out for a bit. x
