Toni, i wouldnt worry, The fact that she is 99th% for height as well, suggests she is perfectly in proportion. If she was 99th for weight and much lower for height, that would be more cause for worry. its feasible that GD could impact a babies weight, but according to my consultant, not so their height.
CJ is 91st for weight and 98th for height, and has roughly stayed on those lines since birth. The HVs arent worried as the two are roughly in line together.

With the weight thing - I got it mildly in the neck from one of the HVs last week as she'd gained a 1lb in a week. I pointed out I could tell her straight away she'd had a growth spurt - and she wrote that down with an earnest look on her face. I started getting quite worried about it - till I stopped myself and thought about her length. I've not had it officially measured for ages (going to ask next week) but when I've done a low tech quick measurement myself - she's off the chart on her adjusted age, and she's something like 91st centile on her actual age... so if she's suddenly piled a chunk of weight on - surely her weight is just starting to catch up to her height (even as a preemie she had massively long feet, fingers and arms and legs)... so I REFUSE to worry about it since those flipping charts don't have jaggedy lines for growth spurts on 'em!

Am a bit cheesed off - went to the library for rhyme and singing time and yet again it's been utterly taken over by incredibly badly behaved school age kids and parents who talk over the whole thing - not only that but they have their five year olds taking up two chairs (one for butt, one for feet) while mums are standing with babies, and pregnant mums and grandads are also having to stand... I took one look at the kids divebombing off chairs and just decided not to bother and returned our library books and headed off home. It's ridiculous - there's bog all to do until toddler age locally (we have one hour a week at sure start, aquababies if you can get through the waiting list - which has taken us a good 3 months to do, and this fortnightly library session) and it's utterly impossible to go with a small child during the school holidays.

Went to get the bus back up killer hill and there was already a buggy waiting for it (typical the one day I don't just wear her) so I started plodding off to walk, ended up detouring into the umpteen charity shops on the way home (I'm not a natural charity shop person) and got her three tops, three pairs of jeans, a dress and a few picture books (and a copy of Revolting Rhymes for me that I've been after for YEARS for 30p) en route.

And Erin farts sooooo loudly it sounds like a grown man letting one off - it's really rather embarassing and I'm surprised she hasn't blown a hole in her nappy with the force of some of them!

One query I have for all breastfeeding mums - is it normal that baby seems to be eating constantly during the day?

Clarrissa, this is very normal :) Your lo could be having a growth spurt or just be a snacker. The more you feed now the more milk you will produce so slowly the time between feeds will get longer..... but it can take time. It is now generally recommended to feed on demand for as long as you can.

I didn't have a Gina Ford baby either!

    Hope everyone is well :)

Gilly, well done on the 30-day shred :) I've read about it on other MSE boards/threads and it sounds like torture. I'm sure it'll get easier though - and it'll all be worth it when you step on the scales!
