Agree with both Alison and Karen! Don't want you to think I was having a go at bottle feeding mothers K, because I posted that, I wasn't :o

Ooh no sweetie I knew you weren't!!! I just read the article and watched This Morning and it gets me so cross. Each to their own I say and mums shouldn't be made to feel guilty whichever way they feed their babies
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!

Hi! Alison seems your LO is ok dropping the dream feed and will hopefully outgrow needing the 4 feed shortly? Fingerscrossed for you but glad you got 5 whole hours!

We're about to dish up the baby rice!

i agree on each to their own on the bottle versus breast feeding. I breastfed dd1 for 9 months and expressed milk for her to have in bottles etc it went really well so i want to do the same again.

other halfs kid both bottle fed from day one. their mum did not feel maternal hence then both living with him. I guess his norm is the women carry and deliver the baby the hand it all over to him. i think he is struggling to understand that it is not normal to do that

    Hi all.

We had a better night, slept 10-2.15 then 3.15 until 5.40 then 6.40 until 8.40. But she was awake yesterday afternoon 3.15until 7.30 then 8 til 10pm. So roughly awake for 6hours.
Shes now been alseep since 12.25 so should wake up soon for a feed.
Health Visitor been today and feel a lot better with feeding, she says DD is doing well and to keep feeding her when she wants even if it is for 10/15mins. She now weighs 7lb9oz so the feeding is going well.
She said she will check her toungue tie next visit but said as she putting on weight it seems ok.

ok help please, Ive just been on the phone to my HV and she was not at all helpful! So if any of the more experienced people have advice I would be very grateful. Roo has started feeding for an hour at a time, coming off about 6 times in between to burp cry and come back on, occassionally he's sick then gets back on again, but he will feed continuously unless i stop him..... the HV said shes not sure why and to pull him off after 30mins or so.....now im not so sure i should do that, he will scream and scream...... I know i've mentioned this before but am really really struggling :(
  • Rubbish night here too, from 2am till I got up at 7 all I could hear was Ella's noises. Not proper crying but grunts, moans, squeaks and random noises

That is Katie exactly, every 45 minutes she has a half hour of random grunts, grans and squeaks which wake me up and then I am awake for another hour trying to get back to sleep, then she wakes for a feed!

We have had some sad news here :-( a girl i did my nct course with committed sucide just before xmas. Her little boy is only a month older than jacob. Just wanted to say to all the new mums that if youre feeling down or need help then to ask your friends and family to help. Even just having someone to talk to is a great help.

Oh my God!! That is so sad :(
  • Sorry Missymoo, I don't know what to suggest - it may be reflux? Or maybe he's sucking to soothe himself so a dummy might be worth a try? Has he just been doing this since his jabs? Does he have a temperature at all?
