Got given a car seat for Rose by a lady on Freecycle....
Rose is beside me now sleeping.
Bought the dogs in, and there was a silent standoff for a bit- she was on one side of the room, they were on the other, just staring at eachother. Soon passed, and a Lab was enthusiastically licking her neck until a finger went into her eye- that temporarily halted that friendship. The rough collie- he settled for coming close under me, doing his wimpy act, and was happy ehough with the odd sniff. He did get his confidence up enough to look at her- she grabbed his ears, yelled 'Gaaaaahhhhhh!' at his nose, and he fled to the kitchen.
Tomorrow maybe!0 -
Lirin - I take it it is Rose 1 dogs 0 so far then!!
Got back from hospital and everything is fine apparently he has a testicular pearl? He won't need any further appointments either as it should disappear on its own which is good.
Noah is currently moaning in his swing as he is tired but won't give in and I'm trying to get as much washing dry on the line as possible so I can start packing tomorrow. Don't think Noah is going to let me get much done though!!!

Hey Ladies,
Can't believe hot and humid it is, overcast and no sun though!
Had an interesting weekend, OH bought a new shed and built it on Saturday, cue lots of swearing and stress!!
Poppy is being a whingy bum because of the heat, she had been in short sleeved vests for a few days now but still isn't happy!
OH is off work next week so will be nice to spend time together, he has a lot of jobs around the house to do so will be kept very busy. Really can't wait for our holiday in August, will be so nice to get away for a week.
Hope all OK.

Just received an e-mail from the Mothercare Baby & Me Club entitled 'Not long to go now!'. It starts with 'It won't be long until you meet your beautiful baby'....0

Jannine, LOL at men and their sheds! My OH wants to get the biggest shed you can legally have without planning permission, as the one we have is apparently too small even though it's bigger than most I've seen in B&Q!.... You really deserve a holiday - where are you off to? Sounds like Poppy would prefer somewhere cold!0

Glad its not just my OH with sheds, I'm not to put anything in it and he keeps going outside to admire it!
We are off here in August:

Its just outside York, we've been lots of times before as it suits us with the dogs! Its just so relaxing, no noise, lots of woodland walks and a hot tub at night with a glass of wine - what more could you want!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

It is a lovely place, I can highly recommend it!
Just wondering if anybody else's LO gets upset when you go out of sight? I took Poppy to my Mum's yesterday and whenever she couldn't see me she screamed! If I lay her on her playmat and walk out the room she screams! Hoping its just a phase she's going through as my poor ears are taking a battering!
We have a physio coming round tomorrow, Poppy will be seeing him 3 times a week now to do exercises to strengthen her muscles, she still isn't sitting up yet, the Consultant said he isn't worried, but physio will help her catch up. Will be interesting to see what they have her doing!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Jannine, our LO screams if she thinks everyone's left her. We move her playmat and little seat around the house so that it's in whichever room we're in. Yesterday we got out of the car, and she started screaming immediately because she thought we'd left her there - even though it was literally five seconds before I got to the other side of the car to open the door and pick her up. She also seems to prefer sleeping in rooms where people are talking, the TV's on etc. It doesn't need to be me in the same room as her though - as long as there's someone there she knows and recognises then she's happy.
Hope physio goes well tomorrow0
