It's so annoying isn't it turtle?! It's horrible when you know they will be in pain with the wind if the don't bring it up.
Well Teddy is wide awake, just had a poo, and is laying on his changing mat on our bed making some funny noises! Hubby just left for work and brought me up a cuppa (decaf incase baby goes back to sleep!)and some biscuits, bless him!
Hope everyone had a better night than me!! XxxxAttitude is a little thing that makes a big difference0 -
Glad I'm not the only one awake at silly o clock Katie!
Teddy has been up all night, Think I might have got 30mins kip in between all the grunting and straining......feeding every 2hours on the dot then won't bring any wind up.....I've literally tried everything the only thing that seems to work is putting him in his crib and 20mins later he screams, pick him up and he burps! Just getting no sleep :-( used infacol on the last couple of feeds which doesn't really seem to be helping! I'm sooooo tired.........
Infacol takes a couple of days to get going if it's gonna work.
My girl was so hard to wind that she defeated every staff member on the hospital ward - it comes with time - she'll burp fine now. One thing I found helped when nothing else did was to put her in a sling and walk around - that movement seemed to bring up more.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Oh dear MrsBryan did you get any more sleep?
George goes through phases with wind, can go days without any problems then have a complete nightmare of a day where he's constantly screaming during feeds. Touch wood we've never had much of a problem at night though.
What's everyone got planned today? My mum is visiting so we'll probably go out for lunch somewhere and have a wander round the shops.Newborn thread member

Morning all
Mrsbryan - I tried colief dentinox for wind and found it to have worked the best for us. You can add the liquid to the bottles. Everytime I washed noahs bottles all the bubbles in the bowl would disappear!!
Hope you managed to enjoy your cup of tea and get some more sleep.
Katiechoc - Noah has a hospital appointment today so we will be spending the afternoon therehe has a cyst that they are going to scan and see what they want to do about it.
This evening I need to drop my car off to the garage to have some work done too! At least it's nice weather though
Hope you have a nice day with your mum.
Better drag myself put of bed I suppose....................

Morning all.
Sorry you have had bad nights, to those who have
We slept through til 515 which is fab for him. Just woke again now.
Dentinox was really good here too, literally took the bubbles out! It really helped with Aidens colic as it stopped lots of air getting to his tummy.
Off for a playdate today with my friends one yr old
Have a nice day all xxxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Morning all
Hope those who had a bad night are able to get a decent nap at some point.
Had a good night here - LO slept from 9.15pm until 4am; longest sleep ever! She then fell asleep again after her feed and woke up at 7.15am. I'm actually feeling vaguely human today!
Sammie, hope Noah's appointment goes well (see, I slept so well I even remembered his name today!) - sending you a ((hug)).
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Thanks nutella.
Glad your little one slept well, it's lovely when you can start feeling human again!Xxx

Morning ladies, I'm wandering over from the pregnancy thread if you don't mind
I'm only 21 weeks so far so still a while to go but as it's my first (and I have never been around babies either...) I'm trying to read up on all sorts of things and would appreciate some advice if you have any. Just devoured a book on 'baby led weaning' - sounds sensible to me, are any of you trying it? The only problem I can see is if I go back to work at 6 months, how to bridge the bit between milk and solids while baby is at nursery/childminder? I'm going to try and avoid formula entirely if possible (I realise it might not be).
Thanks in advance!0 -
Baby Led Weaning is just that savage, baby could be ready at 20 weeks, it's when they start reaching for food, putting it to there mouth, gumming it etc. You will start weaning by 6 months anyway. We bottle feed but A only has 3 or 4 bottles a day now as well as food. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
