    Good morning!

Well, after my moaning it did take me an hour to get him back down in his cot but after that he slept until 7:10, not bad at all :)

Just need to get rid of that 2am feed and it would be great!

Katie - I did try and put him down in his cot but as he can roll now he just thrashes about banging the bars etc and it makes the most awful noise on the monitor, I should try that in the day though I think.

Sammie - hope your boys have a good last day!

Hello Janine, bet Poppy lovvvveeedd her jaffa cake!! Yum yum! Hope your scar gets sorted.

Aimless - Aiden was quite big, 8lb 4, and for some reason they emptied my bladder with a cathater mid labour too, but I didn't have the peeing situation afterwards. Although I didn't drink enough afterwards as I was a bit scared of peeing.

Turtle moose - oh dear, I have had afew nights of bad sleep the last few days but sounds like yours have been pretty awful, especially with a poorly boy. My OH was a bit like that for the first week, he didn't want to help during the night times but just wanted to do the showing him off bits when all the visitors came. I had to speak to him and nip it in the bud as I was sore after having him and getting up and down all night wasn't helping me heal, I dont think mine realised how little he was doing at night - once I spoke to him though he did pull his finger out and help more. I hope yours realises how tired and sore you are and helps you out.

It seemed a little cult like, at first, but was fun! Just teaching aby to enjoy water, by singing to her, moving her through the water in differing patterns and rhymes, tossing her in the air, submerging her under the water (didn't do that bit, will try after a couple of go's...). Swooshong her through the water, and letting her play with it.

Sounds like fun! Bar the submerging under water, not sure I'd be brave enough for that one - plus, LO doesn't like water in her face so that might not go down too well!... But I like the focus on enjoying water - sounds like the way forward. Will let you know how I get on (oh, and whether I manage to fit into my pre-pregnancy swimming costume ).

Weaning going well, naught Mummy gave Poppy her first jaffa cake last night, she ate half which took her about 30 minutes! She was covered in chocolate and the dogs were like hoovers around her!

:rotfl:Surely jaffa cake = orange = one of your five a days = therefore good for you?!..... ;)

Ha I tell myself that all the time Nutella!

My OH could sympathise with the thrashing round Mozzy, George can't roll properly but he still flings himself around and makes a racket. OH has to sleep in the other room because it disturbs him so much. I can sleep through it most of the time.

During the day I do leave him to cry for a few minutes, which I know is controversial but by the time I've left him, made a cup of tea and checked on him again (before drinking it, so only 2-3 mins) he'll have put himself to sleep. whereas I'm pretty sure if I'd stayed there shushing him he'd still be awake grizzling. Can kind of tell when he's likely to do that, or when he's just going to cry and cry and cry so don't try it every time.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Will have a quick read back to familiarise myself with the ages and names of your bubbas!

turtle I feel your pain! Although Teddy is only 4 weeks old so I'm hoping it gets better! This week he seems to have been wide awake from 10pm-1am most nights (which is when I feel most tired!) then feeds about 3am, and usually stays awake around next feed at 5-6am.....well been like that every day this week!
Probably got maximum 3.5 hours sleep in any one night :(
Monday night he was awake from 3-7am just staring at me with his big beautiful eyes......can't be annoyed, even though I feel shattered! :o

Glad to know Its not just me, sometimes it feels like I'm the only one in the world up and knackered at 3am which is stupid!!

Hope everyone has a good day :)

We're having a day in today, I might not even get out of my PJ'S!! :D
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

I might try and leave him for his morning nap then, I'll see what happens!

Turtle, sorry to hear about your bad nights. It probably won't help to say that if your OH is like mine, it doesn't get any better... At the 3am poo the other night, it was hubby's nappy change. He took ages to get out of bed, then sat there over the changing mat saying he was too tired to remember what to do, so I had to tell him how to change a nappy. Then I had to get Elliot into clean clothes as he'd leaked poo, so was just as awake as if I'd done the whole thing myself. Funnily enough, I managed to deal with the 6am poo entirely by myself. Men!

We are going to see the family photos this afternoon that we had taken with all the grandparents and Bro-in-law, yay. It's going to be horribly expensive I think :)

Dad was thinking of coming over to cut the lawn this morning, hoping it doesn't rain, but at least it's not quite as much of a meadow as it was last time! Our veg patch and flower beds seem to be mostly weeds so if Elliot lets me I might have a go at tidying that up this morning.

Sunshine yay for your sleeper :) trouble with OH and nights is BFing.....so he says what can he do anyway, which he does have a point about! No point us both being up and both being tired. What I would like is just some acknowledgment that he knows it's hard but I'm doing well and it's only short term blah blah blah....

I think his trouble is, his first son was FF from day 1 so he was involved with feeding. Also all OH family talk about how good he was helping with nights etc first time round, so I reckon SS must have been quite the crier. Reuben makes a sniffly noise and I'm awake, ready to feed him BEFORE the crying. But even when he does cry, OH doesn't even stir. He wants me to express so he can give mme a night off, but I don't see the point as I'd be the one waking OH up....being interrupted to that degree negates the point of a night off.

Omg I'm a moany miserable old cow!!!! Poor OH gets a right bashing on here, he isn't so terrible, promise!!

I just got eye contact and a big grin...that one moment made all the sleeplessness worth it!!!!!
