That's annoying, could be a 3rd attempt to fix me then!! I knew it would never be what it was before, but this is getting tad irritating.......

Janninew, go see him as soon as you can, in case it is an infection

Think I will, I showed my Mum who after 5 kids via all methods said its quite normal to get some pain when it starts knitting back together and its quite well healed, but I know better than most that you can never be to careful. Plus I don't like taking painkillers all the time.

Lirin, I think I've said before I was like that after giving birth for weeks. I'd literally have to tell myself to go, or I could easily leave it all day with no sensation. Once I thought I ought to go, and when I did, discovered I was absolutely bursting, but couldn't feel it! I mentioned it at the 6 week check, and my doctor seemed to think it was totally normal. If it is the same, then I seem to remember as it came back it was a bit erratic, sometimes I'd feel I needed to go loads.

Definitely worth mentioning though, as when I googled I found a few people reporting the same thing, most went back to normal on their own, but I think a few needed further help?

I wondered with me if it was caused by giving birth to a giant :D or maybe a weird side effect of them using a catheter to empty my bladder mid labour? They didn't leave it in, but who knows?

Ugh, I had 2 hrs sleep, but then we were up again at 2:45. Feed, then he fell straight asleep, "great" I thought, putting him down. 1hr 47 mins later.....so I pick him up, but as soon as he laid on the feeding cushion he fell asleep again. He's not been sleeping well because of his cold (can't breathe and wakes himself up) so I thought well if he is comfy and can breathe I'll let him sleep. But of course in that position I couldn't sleep so I spent and hour and a half just holding him in that position to make sure he didn't roll on to his front.

Then he had a feed after that, and fell asleep on the boob, so I thought great again (I really must stop thinking that !!!!) put him in the cot, and his poor little snotty nose woke him up as he couldn't breathe again. Just as I was getting up again to him, OH came back in. Now I'm struggling with th section aftermath so asked OH to pass him to me (so I don't have to bend and lift). He did so, putting him on my lap with the helpful suggestion that maybe he needs a nappy change not feeding....and promptly walked out the door!!! So then I have to get up, put him down, get changing mat/nappy/wipes etc, and then bloody pick him up a anyway....so not helpful at all thanks!!!

I know I am probably being over sensitive but after 3 days where the maximum block of sleep I've had is 2hrs (and the first day was no sleep at all), I am rather on edge!!!!! Could he not have just changed the nappy for me and let me close my eyes for 5mins?!?! OH has the same cold as bubs so has spent the last 3 evenings laying on the sofa in self pity. This morning he asked me how much sleep baby has had.......never mind him he naps constantly (albeit 45mins at a time throughout the day) ... WHAT ABOUT ME???. ARGHHHHHHH.

Oh dear turtle your OH is completely missing the point! Hope he's more use later on.

Sunshine hope you managed to get a little bit of sleep? Will he not doze off if he's left to his own devices for a bit? In the night I put George back in his crib wide awake and grinning but a couple of minutes after I turn the light off again he's spark out. I don't leave him in there if he's upset though.

Today I've got some work to get done, and a trip to tesco, and OH has to work late so it's just me and George in it together til bedtime. Think it's going to be a long day!

Do you seriously not have a period on them? I didn't know that. Are there any side effects, ie weight gain etc x

I've heard that some women get occasional light bleeding for a day or two, but I didn't - 8 years with no periods was great! And the month after I stopped taking them, periods re-appeared. I had side effects with other pills, but not the minipill (I'm on Micronor), but again I suppose different brands work for different people. I'd definitely suggest trying out different brands though if you're not 100% happy with what you're on - I think I tried four different ones before finding Micronor. Just gone back on them - not planning any more babies just yet!

My only problem with a childminder is what happens when she's ill or goes on holiday? I didn't want to have to use all my leave incase that happens. But not sure exactly how they work.......x

That's definitely an issue - illness shouldn't be too much of an issue as my employer's really flexible re. working from home, but holidays - yes. Just hoping we'll muddle through somehow - definitely a question I'll be asking any potential childminders! Thanks for reminding me - will add it to my list of questions.
