Thanks sunshine just having one of those days today. This hideous weather isn't helping either. My mum is coming down on Sunday for a few days which will be lovely but since having George its really made me realise what I'm missing by living so far away. I don't know anyone around here other than OH's colleagues who are lovely but are at work all day and I find going to the mum and baby groups really daunting as everyone always seems to know everyone else and I'm too shy to introduce myself. Crikey I sound quite pathetic don't I!
:(
Dizzi where is the kiddicare in Nottingham going to be? I only really know where the Vic Centre and the Square are but OH's mum lives there so we visit quite often. Would be nice to have a nosy round the shop after I spend so long on their website!
Not pathetic at all!! Im quite shy too but I always try and think, if I can get through labour I can do anything!! Sounds odd I know but it does help me.
Does your OH have any work mates with partners and LO? Maybe you could all go for lunch or to the park?
Yey for your mum coming, that will be nice xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Katiechoc - that's great you and your mum will get to spend some time together, baby groups can be very daunting as like you said everyone seems to know each other already but I'm sure if you gave it a few weeks you will feel totally different, just remember everyone was the "new one" at some point.
I'm attempting a new baby group this afternoon, it is a really popular one so I'm sure there will be loads of "groups" already formed but I will give it a go.

Castle Marina Retail Park - basically round past QMC (spit, spit, spit, spit, spit - hate that hellhole hospital) and in towards town along the A6005 and it's just off there. Knew they were opening one - didn't know what site they'd got - last I'd heard was Mapperly! until we popped to MC for something or other at the weekend and saw the banners over all the windows.
And off we go to the condescending hell of baby clinic - where I'll be asked yet AGAIN what I'm feeding her - despite it being on my clinic card every single time we go... soooo tempted with a snarky answer sometimes!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Just remembered I ordered some photos to be developed and was supposed to pick then up on Saturday!! I will have to go in to town after I pick the boys up from school. I had over 200 photos on my SD card I wanted printing off!! I still like to keep my photos in an album aswell as on the computer.

Morning all
Had a terrible night, I couldn't sleep, baby was doing the cot shuffle all night long, so made me even more unable to sleep. I finally fell over, my OH gets up to go to work, phones me 2 minutes later, he's stuck in the lift, the emergency call button wasn't working  so I had the joy of phoning around 4 different places before I could get an engineer out. So I've had about 3 hour sleep if you're lucky, I feel like crap. Had 3 cups of coffee and I'm still sleepy. BUT Aarons new nappy came today, so excited. Will post a picture below.
I love it
Also if baby doesn't stop fighting sleep I am seriously going to lose the will to live!!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Sammie, print them off from an online retailer, it is so much cheaper. I got 500 printed a few months ago for £14 delivered.
xx
