    Morning all

Just had the health visitor out to do the post natal check on me and everything was gone so that is good.

Nutella - I'm sure others have said about the pampers smell! I'm on my last pack of sainsburys nappies then I will be starting on my pampers packs so I will let you know if I found them smelly!!

    Xx

Morning, G slept pretty well last night too, down at 8, fed at 10 and 4 then not up til 8. And just dropping off again now. Good job as I haven't had a shower yet which isn't like me at all.

Thanks Mozzy, I'm feeling a bit better this morning, sometimes everything just seems to get on top of me. The gp prescribed me sertraline anti depressants but I haven't taken them as I don't like the thought of george getting it through my milk. As silly as it sounds I just miss my mum sometimes, she lives in Yorkshire and I'm in Surrey so it's not like we can pop over for a cuppa whenever we feel like it.

Anyway, enough feeling sorry for myself, better get dressed At some point before edinnertime!

Yes they do! But for me, its a small price to pay for the quality compared to huggies lol x

Yes lol! Went ok, but tried him on the sample cow and gate rice, will try today on the one i had already bought - Organix Wholemeal Baby Rice and see how he likes that. Then tomorrow, i'll try some Hipp Organic Banana and Rice Pudding or Porridge.............

Ooooh well done!! Think we will start in a few wks, athough he has gone off his milk so don't think he is ready yet.

Question re if you make your own purree etc, do I need to sterilise the tubs I'm going to use for freezing it and the bowls he will eat from? Also, do I need to somehow sterilise the blender jug thing? My steriliser wont fit the bowls I don't think!?

I see my mum about 4 times a week, I can't imagine not seeing her so really do feel for you especially if you are feeling down anyway. Hope you get to see her soon and you feel better today xx

Meant to say re nappies we use mainly the just4bums ones from kiddicare, about £20 for 200 I think. Theyve been really good, very few leaks, we used the size 2s and just moved onto size 3s now weve got through the tesco ones we had.

Also I was in sainsburys yesterday and they've got a baby event on, buy one get 2 free on Huggies wipes, loads more offers but that's the only one I can remember.

Pampers stink when there's pee in 'em! We've switched to kiddicare ones now.

Looks like our local Mothercare's days are numbered - the site for the Nottingham Kiddicare they're opening - next door!

No, if you wash them in hot soapy water, that will be fine. Must be hot though. I just put the spoon in a little boiled water too, but that's not necessary x

Thanks sunshine just having one of those days today. This hideous weather isn't helping either. My mum is coming down on Sunday for a few days which will be lovely but since having George its really made me realise what I'm missing by living so far away. I don't know anyone around here other than OH's colleagues who are lovely but are at work all day and I find going to the mum and baby groups really daunting as everyone always seems to know everyone else and I'm too shy to introduce myself. Crikey I sound quite pathetic don't I! :o:(

Dizzi where is the kiddicare in Nottingham going to be? I only really know where the Vic Centre and the Square are but OH's mum lives there so we visit quite often. Would be nice to have a nosy round the shop after I spend so long on their website!
