It's very Victoria Beckham, but coral-y in colour. Has half cap sleeves, and comes to just under your knee.

Almost like this, but not the exact same, not as low cut.

Not sure, it's clingy I think I'd need something to hold my jelly belly in!

    Afternoon all :)

I can't keep up with this thread anymore! Apologies for not commenting on anything significant and/or missing stuff...

Clothes in block colours - thanks so much for all your suggestions; some great options there! Sexymouse, I might just have to get those Mothercare vests even though I don't really need them - they're fab :o Hmmm, how to justify that expenditure?!.... And thanks to those who mentioned M&S - it's not somewhere I'd ever considered for baby stuff, but I've just had a look online and they do some nice things (including this: www.marksandspencer.com/Pure-Cotton-Giraffe-Knitted-Dress/dp/B002Z3MSGE?ie=UTF8&pf_rd_r=0SR99ENB1C0VWCDMT217&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=3901&pf_rd_i=1000&pf_rd_p=213138347&pf_rd_s=left-1 I love giraffes and will definitely be buying this!).

Routines - our LO is 8 weeks today and we FF on demand, but she demands milk roughly every 3 hours during the day and 3-5 hours at night. Nap times are still haphazard (although if she's awake for more than two hours she gets overtired and cries, so we try to get her to sleep once she starts yawning and rubbing her eyes), but in the evenings what we do is very similar to what Crabapple described - we've been distinguishing between night and day since she was about 1 week old. Evening bath, feed in a dimly lit room, cuddle and song and then into basket. We often also go for an evening walk (a habit that started during Euro 2012 so hubby could watch football in peace!... :o) and sometimes play with her before her bath to tire her out if needed. We don't talk to her during nightime feeds/nappy changes (just lots of cuddles) and keep the room dark so she knows it's still night and nothing interesting is going to happen. Seems to work pretty well for us.

Now if only we could get her to nap in her basket during the day.... Never mind routines or set times - ANY time would be an achievement :)

I wouldn't focus too much on napping in basket Nutella, if you can get her into the pram/cot/car seat/bouncer. Anywhere to start with, you can go from there. Plus I think sometimes if it's always the basket they'l never nap anywhere else.

My little one is a bit of a sod for that now, it's got to be cot or crib. It's a bit of a nightmare now because even if we are out and it's nap time he will not sleep in his pram, even though he used to :(

I survived the dentist! My teeth may not be all that pretty but the verdict is they are very strong :) I can live with that as long as I can keep avoiding fillings or other work, I'm happy!

The childminder seemed nice too. we were there for about an hour. She had two quite boisterous girls, age 4ish, which was my only slight concern, but she will be getting a just over 1 year old in September so there would be someone closer to Elliot's age. She was good with him, and had lots of toys. He liked eating the plastic ladybird, and didn't scream until we put him back in the car seat to go home! We are going to look at one next Friday, and one the following Friday, before we make a final decision.

Thanks Gilly - boo to your LO not sleeping in his pram anymore :( Our challenge at the moment is that she'll happily fall asleep on people/in a moving pram/in a moving car, but as soon as we try transferring her to her basket and/or the pram or car stops moving she'll wake up. We're finally able to put her in her basket awake but drowsy in the evenings, so here's hoping she'll accept this for daytime naps too at some point! She seems to prefer falling asleep on/in stuff that isn't stationary....

Busy day ladies! My bf came round with her son today to spend the day with me and Charlie. We've been best friends since school, almost 21yrs! She came over to the UK 3 years after I did which was fab!

So will catch up tomorrow! Oh has gone to get burger and chips whilst I have a drink :D Charlie has been in bed for about 45min.

Quickly though - Gilly Charlie LOVES his jumperoo, as do I!

Routines - not until 12wks, but a loose one. If he's tired, I take him up, but there's no set times. Depends what time we wake. But generally, 2hrs after he's woken, he's ready for his next nap. And they are usually only 40min long x
