Morning. I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning, I was awake frm 2:30 til 5:30 this morning with a terribly fussy boy who seems to have forgotten his hard-won knowledge of how to latch properly (he's a month old tomorrow, cup fed for first 10 days and breast ever since) ....resulting in a very cross baby and a tired and upset turtle (with incredibly sore nips!!!).....any other BFers here had this? I had thought we were just getting to grips with it and now we seem to have revertd back to being total novices (and I'm bloody shattered!)
Fluff, hope your baby comes soon, would be good to see you over here.
Swimming is something I'd love to do too - are there any rules about swimming after a section? Cuz the leaflet they give you says no driving for 6 weeks, and my health visitor said I could drive at 3 weeks,.,..and the leaflet says no nookie for 6 weeks too but my midwife said we could go for it at only 10 days after even though i still had lochia (we didn't btw!!!) ....its confusing when everything/everyone contradicts each other!0 -
I can't wait to take George swimming, although I am terrified of walking by the pool carrying him, I'm so clumsy and slip over on the slightest thing
Has anyone done another classes like baby yoga or massage etc? I quite fancy baby yoga, just need to find out how much it is. The nct group I go to sometimes had a baby sign taster session last week which was really interesting, definitely want to do that.
Yeah it's a bummer I don't get mat leave but then I don't have to worry about paying for child care when I go back to work. It did mean that for the first 2 weeks after he was born I was chained to my computer though which wasn't great. But meant I had some extra £ to buy us treatsNewborn thread member

Ooops! Fed Charlie at 4-5am, slept to 8am, fed 8-9am, and slept to now! Both in my bed. That's the most we've both slept! Better get up now!

Our pool let you bring carseats to the poolside during their baby oriented swimming sessions so at least you can carry something with a handle (and have somewhere to put the baby while you get changed yourself if you're taking them solo.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Hello all
Hope all ladies and babies are good.
Baby boy has hollow legs today, 10oz of milk, a bowl of porridge and a slice of toast for breakfast, and he's just had pasta, a full Ellas sachet and some rice cakes for lunch! Hungry man.
We're now on our 5th day of cloth nappies, and it's going well, only 2 leaks, and he had the runs then, so probably why it happened and me not doing the nappies up tight enough, but I'm learning
Well must go get my own lunch, funny how bubs always gets to eat before me and I still can't lose any weight? The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Turtlemoose - lol at the 'professionals' suggestion of 10 days :eek::eek::eek: I don't think I could lift my leg at that point

We tried at 10 weeks and even that was too  so quite sensibly waited. I still have problems with my back now so it's not a frequent event lol!!0 -
