Scott has just succumbed to the land of nod after half an hour of daddy saying in a low gruff voice 'slleeepppy time slllleeeeeepy timeee sleeppppy tiiiiiime' quite frankly half an hour of that would send me off too :rotfl:
Oh wait a minute he's awake noooooooo!0 -

Hello Mozzy
Am ok, LO just having a screamy scream as two nappy changes! How dare I? Well if he would wee up his back...! Hope the arm to basket transfer was a smooth one!
How did you get on with your mum?
How have the tears been this week?
Dreading today but just thinking by tonite it will be done.
Appt not until 3:50pm and takes about 40 mins to get to hosp so thinking we will hit traffic and they will run late. Think that you need to have baby calm during tests. Presume maybe they let you feed them? Don't really know. Think Gp made hubby put his finger in his mouth when examining him but don't think that will last long !
LO has a couple of words (:rotfl:) 'goo, agooo and oooohhh, which he will repeat rabbit fashion back to you, it's quite cute and he is all pleased with himself if you say good boy !!! I just say them to him very slowly which he likes whilst being changed.
Hope your shifts is going ok. These checks come round quick! Ro xx0 -
Ahh nightwatch...havent done one of these in a while!!
B]Ro[/B]we had to take Seth to get bloods done because his jaundice hadn't gone by 3 weeks, they gave him a little sugar/water solution from a syringe to keep him calm (didn't work!! Lol) so I just ended up soothing him the best I could by letting him suck my finger and talking to him (the fact they ended up having to take 2 lots because they ballsed up the first lot is a completely diff story!!) If you're not comfy watching them do their thing then you could always let hubby stay in the room with him while you go for a little wander (think its harder for us mums to see) Good news is he'll completely forget about all of it once hes downed his next feed (even if you've become a nervous wreck :rotfl:)
Mimi so glad Amy is ok, drama queen alreaduy eh?! You're in for some fun teenage years
Kimberley I wouldnt worry too much about the jaundice, Seth is 5 weeks now and its completely cleared.Chances are you'll get to the appointment and they'll wonder why you're there!! Best advice I was given was to feed him every 3 hours (like a newborns gonna last longer than that!!) to try and help flush it out of his system. I didn't know that it takes longer for BF babies to get rid of it too!
Jannine Poppy sounds like shes doing really well (well apart from the projectile incidents!!) but thats all part and parcel of being a baby ain't it :rotfl: Are you managing to get out and about with her much? Knew you'd been worried about carting her oxygen about, as well as the housefull of stuff you need for a baby generally!!
Hope you and OH manage to have a good chat, get him to do some of Poppys feeds so you can get a good night or twos sleep and feel a bit more human (I wonder if any of us will ever be able to pull off zombie chic!! :rotfl::rotfl:)
Sure I've forgotten half the things I wanted to say, zzzz's are calling though (seen as everyone else is out for the count!!!)0 -

Exactly what I thougt :rotfl:We ended up at the Doctors yesterday - She has an eye infection now also so have eye drops - She does look a lot better this morning though
It's OH's birthday at the weekend so am off shopping tomorrow providing Amy is ok, I'm tempted to buy some new undies..... at the moment all my pre-pregnancy bra's are too big and I'm still wearing my BF one's even though I stopped feeding a few weeks ago lol Not sure whether to bulk buy or just buy a few (Worried I will put weight on!)
Have the HV coming next week to check Amy's weight - She's dropped her feed's down by 2oz so i'm expecting weight loss.
Hope you are all ok0 -
Glad Amy is getting better Mimi.
Kimberley - Elliot was jaundiced from about day 2 until he was around 6 weeks, he was really quite yellow at one point, even the whites of his eyes! The health visitor / midwife wasn't at all worried though and said only to do the photo therapy if we were concerned that he was excessively sleepy and not eating enough.
Elliot did what sounded like a huge poo while feeding, but having then had to put him into his moses basket when a delivery man arrived during the feed, he's gone straight off to sleep. Do I wake him and do a change, or be grateful for the time when he's asleep... hmmmm....
He has his 8 week jabs tomorrow0 -
Mimi so glad Amy is doing better x
Well, I've got Charlie off to sleep the only way I know how - whilst sitting on the couch, asleep on my lap on a pillow, then slide the pillow from my lap onto the couch! Then put another pillow on the other side of him. Freedom! Now to quickly have some breakfast, I'm starving!DFD February 2012
