Huge hugs to Mimi and Amy. Hope you get the best care for her and she gets better soon x
Not in the same league, but my LO has first jabs today and I'm worrying about it as I don't want her to get upset and be in pain (not very likely). I was fine about the idea until I discovered it was two injections - just seems too much in such a little person. However, thanks for the advice, I'm going to fill her up with milk this morning as far as possible and then won't have to worry if she is sleepy after.
Not expecting much from the drs appointments either, but perhaps I will have one who asks useful questions and tells me what is going on... I have this idea in my head that all they are going to do is check her over and then tell me to do something about losing the baby weight. I already have, and approaching a stone, so :)for that butfor still having a way to go to not be overweight.

Hi crabapple hope u get on ok today, deffo as much milk before and straight after will help. Know it's not fun but I just thought its for their own good. Scott did sleep a lot and decided best not to disturb as was grouchy if woken at all and just fed when I could.
Ro xx
Did keep checking to see if he was hot as had mummy paranoia0 -
Also well done for weight loss and re check I just looked in the red book to see what they would check baby for .
Re your check it's all the usual embarrassing questions eg 'have u made love yet?' errrr no not feeling the lurrrrve right now, 'what about contraception?' for this I am going to get 'should I feel the urge although doubtful i swear hubby will put his swimming hat on'0 -
Thanks Ro. I do know it's for her good but just wish they could get the vaccines in her some other way!
I'm getting a bit fed up of health professionals asking about contraception. Having a small baby is the best I've found yet:rotfl:.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hi ladies.
Crabapple- hope LO is ok after her injections, and that you didnt find it too hard!
Ro- Sorry you are having problems with boob monster. Has LO been checked for tongue tie? Just wondered if that might explain why he prefers bottle so much, if he is struggling to get a good suck on the boobie?
Mimi- I'm so sorry LO is poorly. I hope the doctors find out what the problem is quickly, and that she back well again very soon.

Hello hope everybody is doing well
Mimi hope everything is going well for Amy and yourself. NG tubes arent all that bad...unless you are at all like me and have to redo the litmus test about 20 times just in case...and then ask the staff to re check it just in case all of those tests are maybe all wrong!
Has anybody heard from SVsandy at all? Was just wondering how things were going for her and if her LO had settled any yet?
For the ladies who find immunisations distressing, it may help to think about all of the horrible pain and suffering and often permanent consequences that those little needles are preventing your baby from enduring....it helps me to reconcile it that way anyway
My LO had a review with her consultant today and I am now feeling much happier, if a little confused! He has disagreed with virtually everything that our HV has said or implied regarding LOs food refusal, so now I have to decide what to actually believe.0 -
Hello all
Mimi - hope Amy is ok x
Kira - up until couple of weeks ago he has Been given boob first for as long as he wants (except evening when I go to sleep early) he normally would take it for a few minutes and then would give him formula, no trouble except occasionally shuffling as have prop him on pillows (if he missed a feed would take the next one). He has only had a small amount of boob all along.
He now if I think is in a stonk, very hungry/tired just prefers bottle so screams at boob, I also think he lays more comfortably with bottle.
I am loathe to give in as when he is in the mood he takes it fine and I like to give him both. Have been really stressing but have decided not to persist if he screams and try and express just a little (which I hate!! And had stopped a while ago) just to try and keep things Ticking over. All I want is him to have at least one boob feed a day.
Yesterday morning took him to bed and managed it fine, did not pressure him during the day, expressed 30 ml (I know !! Every little counts....) which he had in the evening (he had a projectile sick episode). Tonite he has done fine on cushions no objections so will just continue seeing if will take and expressing once a day if doesn't.
Oooh that took a while to write down ... U don't have to read it kira!! But that's why havent investigated tongue tie as think he is just being contrary! He sadly has got to an age where he knows bottle gives him food quicker so.....0
