Hi Ladies,
Hope all are OK, I haven't been on here for the past few days so need to have a good read back.
Poppy came home on Sunday at last after 13 weeks in hospital and we are sooo pleased to have her home. It such hard work though, she is on 9 different medications, some which she has 3 times a day - my kitchen looks like a chemist! Going out and about is a nightmare with the oxygen and I have no idea how I will manage when hubby goes back to work after his paternity leave. Managing a baby, a car seat, changing bag and heavy tank of oxygen is hard work for us both, I just don't think I'll manage alone.
We took her to be weighed today and she has only gained an 1oz in 5 days, this is another worry. I nearly ranted at a women at the clinic who was moaning to the HV about her babies nappies leaking - I wish that was my main worry! I know I shouldn't feel like that, it wasn't that poor ladies fault! Just have so many worries about Poppy and her health/
Poor Poppy has 5 follow up appointments at the hospital in the next month, god only knows how I'll manage to get her there on my own. Really dreading hubby going back to work a week on Monday.
Going to read back now, just haven't had a spare minute this week to check in, if I'm not getting medication together I'm feeding or changing mega poo nappies!!
Take care all.

Thanks Gilly, Kira, Mirror and Koala I'm so emotional lately, crying at the smallest thing.
Will try winding him more and tummy rubs. How do you all wind? He's a real wriggler, so find it hard with his little head going everywhere x
Sorry to hear you're struggling atm. It will get better tho ((hugs)).
I used to find just the act of me passing baby to hubby was enough to get burps up with my son. (just holding baby nder the armpits). Appreciate not easy to do if you're on your own tho x:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Mozzy I dont know if this will be of any help but lying your boy completely flat for a minute then sitting him straight up again may help with trapped wind...or so I was told by a midwife anyway! Wasnt so great for our girl though owing to her reflux!
Janine you are doing brilliantly by the sound of thingsHave you been given any of the smaller oxygen cylinders, (the tiny ones that attach to wheelchairs) at all for helping you to get out and about? Sorry I cant remember what they are called exactly just now as my brain is mush as I still have to do night obs on my older son after his op.

Just remembered, I had a stroke of luck this week. When I bought my baby monitor, I wanted the Angelcare one, but the sound and breathing one was just too expensive, and the breathing only one was on special so I got that. Now I've realised how little I can hear him if he's in bed and I'm in the kitchen, and decided I must have a sound monitor. Someone on Ebay was selling Angelcare sound only ones cheap, that are leftover manufacturers spares. Mine arrived today, and it has a hole to plug my sensor mat into! Hurray!0

Have you been given anything for claudias reflux kira?
Gilly, no, at the mo we aren't medicating for reflux. Since we started with the physical interventions things are alot better- We are going to see what happens with the tongue tie consultation as that may be contributing to the reflux.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Yeah that's the right appeal but if you wanna wait going to do a justgive page so you can sponser Ellie ( we figure a sponsered breath and breathing until 8 weeks has already been achieved) so we can see how much she raises then she can see how much she is loved.:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart
Proven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Finally I get some time to come and join you ladies.
Little man is finally having a good old nap after a marathon afternoon of what feels like constant feeding! Is that normal for a 9 day old?!
Hugs mozzy - should we rewind a couple of weeks to when we bouncing on those balls eating pineapple? :rotfl: Hormones, breastfeeding and 4am have not been a good combo..had some right old meltdowns since we got home, stop worrying about one thing and start on another!!
Thinking of you jen and ellie xx0
