No, they gave me paracetamol  they did give me codeine but the community midwife said it would cause constipation so I'm trying to weigh up what's worse :rotfl:

:eek: I had diclofenac and paracetamol max dose and still ended up on all fours on the bed as I could not lie down or sit telling hubby to shoot me now!!!!! But weirdly things seemed to calm down over the next few days. Still twinges every now and then but so much better. God it sucks being women sometimes....

i need a rant followed by a good cry.

posting in stages as my bloody pc keeps crashing

Finding it all a bit hard at the moment Ellie screams in pain from about 6pm until 9 or 10 pm. it is horrible nothing soothes her. think she might have colic. oh and she is alway really sick and vomits at 9 ish

at uni tomorrow and sorting out bottles for the day stresses me out so much. need to sort then the evening before but Ellie screams all evening. try to defrost the right amount sterilise and sort pump bottles for me to take is hell

Ellie also has a bad cough which makes her sick so she has been sleeping on my arm so i am knackered.

Everyday there is too much to do. tomorrow uni, thurs got to get ellie weighed and got osteopth no time to just rest

feeling shattered and tearful. other half doesnt live with me and breastfeeding so get sod all rest. also got really bad back pain still from the labour. paracetemals arent touching the pain and doctors wont give me anything as i am breastfeeding. considered giving up feeding in favour of drugs

oh and right boob has hard lumps in and is too sore to feed ellie off so expressing and sterlising to fit in too.

    Feel so stressed

Kira my OH behaved similarly with our oldest. Our baby was born at 27 weeks while OH was out of the country with work. I had to deal with everything that comes with having a baby in SCBU on my own, sort our home out aapropriately, and deal with both sets of family too. He eventually was able to come home, but was totally oblivious to everything I had been through as he had arranged a series of lads nights out to destress after a tough deployment!!!

It took him a while to alter his mindset and grasp the reality of parenthood, but he got there in the end. :)

Sorry Laura I have no idea about tax credits.

Laura Lou, OH used to work dealing with child benefit and tax credits, 8 week turn around he said :) hope this helps xx

Jen, have a massive hug, I don't know how you do it, I'm with OH constantly and we still have no time to fart between us  you're doing great, you just need some me time by the sounds of it. Try and speak to your OH about it, he may take Ellie for a few hours to give you some time to yourself.

Jen, really feel for you.If I lived nearby I'd definitely have come over to help you for a bit.... It isn't easy, and you're doing a massive amount on your own.... Hugs.

Jen do you have a friend/relative/trustworthy neighbour who would be able to just sit with your baby for an hour or so to let you get organised?

Also is attendance tomorrow essential for your course or could you make do with borrowed notes?

oh and last moan. Ellie keeps being sick in my bed loads of it!!! so changing washing and drying sheets DAILY

    right something more positive needed

Breastfeeding- preserve if you want to do it last week my right boob was not satisfying Ellie she came off screaming and sucking her hands and when i expressed hardly any came off. well i thought it was game over for breastfeeding but i ate and drank more and expressed to stimulate, slept naked with Ellie for 3 nights and now i can express nearly 3 oz off that side and Ellie seems happy to feed from that side. the body is an amazing thing!!

i borrowed notes last week as Ellie was really poorly. I like to attend and find it a bit of me time (I eat the whole time i am there!!) also her dad gets the day with her which he loves it just takes to much organising!!
