The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I like Huggies wipes - they're so moist that they're idiot-husband who always leaves the packet open-proof.
Yes, he's annoying me this morning - severely.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Been thinking about Jannine and Poppy - anyone know how they're doing?
Sunshine, hope you had a good night at home and that Aiden is continuing to improve x
I was wondering about Jannine too, she said she was going to be helping out other mums at the hospital I think, maybe she's tied up with that.
Yet another bad night for us, and the little blighter was most definitely not hungry this time - the second and third times he was up he effing well bit me! He only ever does that if I'm trying to feed him and he's not really hungry. So tonight we're embarking on controlled crying. I'm absolutely dreading it but I'm hoping it'll do the trick.
Re swimming I just put him in a swim nappy and he was fine, but he was going on for 7 months old the first time I took him. He was fine but I was flipping freezing by the end!
And wipes we just use the Tesco own fragrance free ones and they've been fine. I like the clip down top. With Johnsons I found they allstuck together so ended up with 7 wipes when I only needed 1.Newborn thread member

Katie, hope tonight goes OK for you - I was dreading controlled crying when I first tried it, but it wasn't as bad as I feared, fingers crossed for you
Oh, and I agree with your comment about Johnsons wipes - this morning I was standing there with one hand round LO's ancles, trying to prevent her from dipping her feet into a pile of poo, whilst shaking a load of wipes with my other hand, trying to get just one at a time! We have another 8 packs of Johnsons - a relative bought us 12 packs when LO was born - but once they run out I think we'll stick to Pampers... It's a shame though, as I really like the texture of Johnsons and they're great at removing poo

Dizzi, how was your night and how is Erin this morning? Hope it didn't turn out as badly as you feared and that she did manage to stay in her own bed...0

She was fine when she went to sleep (she was knackered poor girl) - I had absolute killer heartburn the likes of which I've never had before and was up half the night trying desperately to get anything to stop it at all - even trying sitting up (but I was so tired I couldn't even maintain a sitting position)... had about an hour's sleep - then she came in with us after her early-morning bottle... proceeded to spend the next 2 hours giggling, hitting me over the head with Bunny (while hubby snored oblivious) and kicking me in the stomach - to which the Bump decided to start a campaign of retaliatory attacks, and then respond with Braxton Hicks as well!
Still no evidence of a tooth being anywhere near coming through - although her gums now have that kind of corrugated irony type pattern of bulges where every tooth will eventually be - we've got no white spots visible or swollen bits - but it's obviously really bothering her poor thing.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Thanks Nutella. Just scared that I'll ignore him and he'll really need me or something. Daft really as I've done it during the day with no ill effects, although he goes off easier in the day, but everything seems so much worse when its the middle of the night...Have given him a super big feed tonight - managed to get him to have a go on both boobs so he's well stocked up for the night. I'll probably be on here around about 12.30 feeling guilty while I listen to him cry...:(Newborn thread member

Aww dizzi, poor Erin - and poor you, I can't imagine going through those last few difficult weeks of pregnancy and having another one to look after! Remind me how long you've got left now? I never see the list now I'm not on the preggers thread! Oooh that reminds me, rups never turned up on this thread, I was sure we'd see her here! Or have I just missed her?0

Missbunbury... Rups is ok. Think she's too busy. She's feeding a hungry Andre and expressing. She does find time to mooch fb so I'm sure she will be along at some point.0

Be braveIf he genuinely, really needs you because he's in pain or something, his cry will probably be different and you'll be able to tell. I kept telling myself that it was for her own good - if I could teach her to sleep in longer stretches at a time, she would get better quality sleep and be a happier baby
