Marta, maybe try taking her somewhere darker and quiet for a couple of feeds in the day.
Dewi grunts in his basket too. Sometimes he'll sleep but most of the time he wakes.0 -
I'll be checking back for an aiden update. sunshine, thinking of you xx0

Hi ladies
Bit of a tough night. He kept flapping about and getting tangled in the wires.
His cannular lost the vein and they cant find another without going into a dark room and shining a torch under his wrist which will just upset him so he is having his meds orally for now. They say he is still working too hard breathing so they wont reduce the oxygen, once they reduce it he has to be monitored for 24hrs again and then once he comes off it he has to be monitored for 24hrs.
Im gonna have to brave the hospital shower as I am so hot and feel yuck. OH has gone home to get supplies and Ive just rang my boss to let her know. xxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Oh the poor thing. At least they've taken the step not to upset him by jabbing him again.
Make sure hubby brings lots of snacks.
Try and take each day as it comes. They like to drag their feet when it comes to letting you out.

Argh, I've had reuben napping nicely on the sofa in the day all week, settling himself with his comforter... but OH has his older kid every weekend, so of course the pair of them are about ,making too much noise, opening and shutting doors etc. So i am doing first wide-awake-in-to-the-cot-nap-time. It is not going well
he's crying and I'm not sure whether to go in and comfort him (without picking up) or if that will just enrage him :-/

Sunshine, great news he's improving a bit, hopefully you'll be soon home.
Idk Gillyx, as I said I'm starting to doubt everything! HV and GP said:"babies cry" and I kind of wonder whether all these is normal and I just have to put up with it.Her symptoms are:
- None at night, from 11pm to 8 am more or less, she sleeps beautifully and has 2-3 feeds half sleep. If anything, she grunts a bit and makes occasionally a funny noise, as when you have asthma, like air scratching the pipes. Very occasionally though.
- she strains and cries 80% of the time when trying to empty the bowels or trump
- She cries often whilst feeding, we wind her and stills cry. When this happens, she continues to be wide awake and she tires herself out by crying. Only upright carrying helps.
- She has one dirty nappy a day only
- She threw up twice with the gaviscon, but generally she doesn't at all
- She did gagging noises with the comfort milk, but generally she doesn't
- She did constant swallowing noises before that
- She often wakes up with a scream and then she cries for a long time
- She often wakes up in the day after ten or twenty minutes very unsettled
Today, however, so far so good only with infacol and normal milk. She just doesn't want me to find a pattern!!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

How did the nap go turtle?0

The constant swallowing, and waking up screaming, unsettled all point to reflux for me, but persevere and see how things go
if you can wear her in the sling during the day it may help x
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Sunshine, thinking of you - hope you're feeling a bit better after a shower and that your OH brought some nice snacks x0

Turtle, did you get your heating fixed? Really hope so! Hope nap went OK in the end0
