Marta got some comments from some other bfing mums i know....get OH to bulk buy you some flapjacks, oats are great for your milk supply, and keep your energy up. Rest as much as possible, sod the washing up, you've just had a baby! And drink drink drink, lots of fluid, keep yourself hydrated, you'll be surprised what a difference it makes.

Fenugreek is a supplement that can increase your supply, also barley malt drinks (usually found in the "world foods" bit of the supermarket) - taste like crap but they worked well for me.

I think Reuben might be teething AGAIN, he's been very cranky and quite pukey all afternoon, meh.

Forgot to say, loved that pic sammie!! Cute :)

    Evening ladies :)

Not managed to get on the forum for a while, FB is so much easier from my phone :o big congrats Savage and Marta, sorry to hear you're having feeding problems Marta, hope you can find a solution you're happy with. I've been to the bf support group at my local children's centre and it was really helpful xx

Ellie is 3 weeks old now, and we had our first growth spurt over the weekend. So exhausting, especially as it coincided with me having a cold :( she's back to normal now though. Question for bf mummies - is it normal for the amount of time taken per feed to drop as baby gets older? Ellie used to feed for at least 40 minutes, but now it's often only 15 mins at a time. She seems happy and is gaining weight well (8lb13.5oz at 20 days old, 8lb birth weight) so I'm not worried, just interested :)

Woohoo for finishing work soon sunshine. :D

Hope you have a good time on your works do, hope you don't wake up with a hangover on Saturday though!! ;)

I've got my DS2's nativity play tomorrow morning so my mum is coming round to watch Noah. He is getting everywhere and into everything now :eek:I swear he has opened the same cupboard onto his head at least 20 times!

  • Enjoy the nativity Sammie! What role is your ds playing? I c ant imagine the chaos a crawling baby must create, it's bad enough with G now; he's constantly on the move and he's not quite crawling properly yet, just wriggling and rolling everywhere.

When are you back at work sunshine, do you get all of next week off?

Littlemoog hope you've recovered from your cold and the growth spurt? Yep they get more efficient at feeding so it takes them less time for a feed. I remember G being on for a good 45 minutes at a time, now I barely get Facebook opened on the iPad before he's had enough!

Katiechoc - ds2 is a king :D I forgot how hard it is when little ones are mobile :o
I was cooking dinner earlier and I had DS2 shouting at me because DS1 had taken his dinosaur and kicked it across the lounge. DS1 was being gobby to DS2 then Noah opened the cupboard onto his head and started screaming!! I could run away at times!!

    Morning :)

Yay for the last day of work Mozzy and Sunshine!

Hope you've managed to regain a bit of your sanity after last night?! I don't know how you cope with 3 boys!

I'm waiting for George to wake up - I swear he does it deliberately, wouldn't sleep all morning and finally got him down at 11, he's still asleep now and we need to be leaving now to get to friend's for dinner! Hate waking him but I've already been in and put the washing away and he didn't even twitch!
