    Book of Mormon is brilliant MW. Great overpayment, you are doing well. I am off to investigate FB selling.
  • Managed to keep some patience yukkibear, in both hands for instant access ;)

    Glad to hear the recommendation for Book of Mormon, it should be a fab day. Just need to keep an eye out for a good meal offer. I've also booked a champagne afternoon tea for two near my sisters for her 40th, we both have kids so never get any time together; should be lovely. I had £6 referral for OH, so was £15 :).

    Had a very busy but good half term. Having so much time with DD has really improved her behaviour and makes me wonder what impact working nearly full time has on the family. We went to a city farm, a day at the Science Museum with cousins, a girly shopping day whilst DS in nursery, a free drawing workshop in local library, and a fun swim in local pool with friend and baby. It was all cheap or free, with a couple of lunches and ice creams chucked in (c£40 for the week)- London has so much going on that is great for families. Today we're going to a wildlife park that I got half price tickets for - just preparing the packed lunch, and will treat ourselves to an ice-cream or cake when we're there.

    And the sun is shining!

    I don't have kids but last year juniors is notorious for being a bit "know all top of the school ish". Due to your brilliant timed maternity leave you will be around for the start of senior school which will be great. Hope you enjoyed your action packed half term, it sounds busier than work to me. Ten weeks until ER for me I am looking forward to it.

    Definitely think going back to work will be a bit of a rest in comparison to this week! It was busy, and I missed my afternoon naps sooo much, but worth it to see the change in DD. Made me realise how much she needs me around, even though she's older - more than when she was little. I hadn't really timed this pregnancy toots, but it is fantastic that I'll be around for her first year of secondary school, I really think it'll help her settle in. Only 10 weeks left - I've only 12 weeks left til mat leave - with a week off in the middle:j! Am sure the time will fly by for both of us.

    We had a great day out on Saturday - the sun shone, the kids loved it, especially DS who loved pointing at all the animals and playing on the bouncy castle! Spent £10 on ice-creams and drinks. Yesterday we took our faulty freeview+ box for (free) repair, got our shopping in for £50 and had a friend over for a roast dinner.

    I finally found a pair of skinny overbump maternity jeans which work, it is the reform ones from mothercare, apparently you can take off the bump band and wear them as normal jeans after delivery. £40, but I think I'll be living in them! M&P, New Look and next just all looked terrible on me :(.

    Pay day on Friday, our account is still healthy so may have a few hundred leftover to pay into our savings account (1/2 for OHs new bike and 1/2 for trip to down under). I'm proud of myself as managed to cancel some 'free' trials before they charged this week, something I normally forget. We're planning to pay for our summer holiday this month, so OP will be reduced.

    Today I will:
    * [STRIKE]go to mum and toddler yoga[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]lunch at home[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]nap[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]get 2 x washloads done[/STRIKE] managed 3 :A
    * list one item on fb selling site
    * change bedding x [STRIKE]2[/STRIKE] 1 left
    * finish bagging up DS's outgrown clothes for under loft
    * nag OH to put all bagged up clothes under loft ;)
    * download level 3 of welsh course (paying monthly for it, so need to buck up!) half downloaded, and even did lesson 1

    Morning all! We've both been paid, and had a few hundred left over in our current account so now have £600 total in our OH bike/Oz fund.

    Have made an OP of £1507.01, taking total OPs this year to £3759.93 :D

    Need to do some more accounting magic, but DS currently pouring cereal over himself so back later!

    £129 OP made from council tax free month, and OH managed £50 shop yesterday :)

    DDs breakfast, tea time and lunch money paid up until Easter.

    DD back to being difficult within 2 days of being at school :(

    Had a lovely weekend, with childfree day on Saturday where managed not one but three exhibitions with friends :j! Used museum card so they were all free, spent just over a tenner on lunch and afternoon tea; was a brilliant day :). Yesterday tackled the ever growing junk in office whilst OH took kids on shop, it is now back to the stubborn stuff and not things have chucked in there when people coming over :O. Half a recycling bin wheelie filled and a charity bag.

    Right, time to get ready for toddler yoga with DS.

    What a day! Began with some not great news from OH - according to company rules, he is a few weeks off being entitled to paid paternity :(. He's going to speak to his line manager to see if there's anything that can be done, but it looks like we may have to use holiday, which will mean we're unlikely to get a proper break the rest of the year with him :(

    Then had an unexpected email - have won a 4 night family holiday to Legoland - in California!! It has been one of my life ambitions to win a holiday, so this really is amazing. DD is over the moon, and I know DS will love it as he'll be able to do so much of the rides. I also have a childhood friend in California, so hoping we might get to see her one day too. Looking at going in the autumn, we really are so lucky :). And it'll only be 3 days leave as includes a weekend, so we can definitely fit it into OH's limited leave allowance. There will be some additional costs due to bringing along the newborn, and possibly some fines for taking DD out of school, but I don't care!

    And DD got her first choice school :D. The relief is palpable!

  • Fantastic news regarding the holiday i'm so pleased for you, you will have a fantastic time and will be lovely for you to get away together.

    How long will DD be put of school for? Now if DD happened to be poorly at the time and have a sickness bug she will need to have 48 hours from the last bought of sickness before she is allowed back into school:wink: (if you get my meaning).
