Oh yes, a tube strike really adds to the joy of working in London. Take care,
Squirrel xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Tip for OH take a photo at every point of removal when mending something One of our technicians told me this and I use it for taking apart sewing machines to mend them it really helps. I can't face the tube nonsense next week imam going to try to get a northern visit and just not be here.0

Does anyone know when the tube strike is on in London next week please?
MW, glad to hear you'll be WFH to avoid it - sad that we live in an age when people don't automatically offer a seat.

Tilly, the strike is the same as last week i.e. starts Tuesday night and ends Friday morning. I was really disgruntled about it until a colleague told us about a train strike in South Korea that lasted three months!!!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

You poor thing having to do that with buggy and all.0

Thanks Mouche, I hadn't realised it was on so long, although I appreciate nothing in comparison to South Korea.

Tube strike off - yay!! Although still wfh today and tomorrow. TBH I am so exhausted after just 2 days in the office with the commute (and buggy, and lack of seat AGAIN on Monday morning, grr!) that am pleased to avoid the journey. Plus on leave after tomorrow for a week and a half.
Toots, a top tip on the photographs - I did advise OH to do this but then when he tried to use them he said 'oh, they're all blurry' (horse, water, drink comes to mind!)
Another hideous weekend due to personal family stuff. Feel at my wits end with it all.
On a MFW note, sold item via local fb group for £10. And remembered to cancel my which! subscription before it charged me (phew!)
Right, off to have HM soup from freezer for lunch, along with defrosted bread rolls.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Just sold another item on local fb group for £20, waiting for collection. Sooo much easier than fleabay! I'm just listing one at a time, once that item has sold and been collected am listing the next. I'd stored up a massive amount to eb@y, but found it too overwhelming. A lot has been sent to the charity shop during my decluttering, but these are the items I couldn't bear to just give away. At last I think I'll be able to manage this!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Happy valentines day! I received a lovely card with a heart felt message, and some delicious white choc hotel chocolat heart shaped truffles, yum yum!
£20 for sale now in mortgage hedgehog, also received a packet of multivitamins for DD to trial.
On leave now, yay! Took DD for blood tests this morning, then DS to free sing song at library and lunch at home. Naps had (well, mine!), now must prepare for short stay with MIL. We have bday card and present for her all sorted. Must pack an extra bit of patience.
ETA: OP of £1,125.01 made :j! Had totally forgotten to account for my own salary
. Still have £500 in current account to last 2 weeks, all bills out and savings at magic £10K so shoved the rest into an overpayment. YAY! I also have quite a stash of personal pocket money which will be great for buying OH a bday present and if any expensive nights out come up. Did I tell you I have tickets for the Book of Mormon in May?
To do:
* [STRIKE]download credit history file[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]cancel trial[/STRIKE]
* upload photo of next fb sale
