    Hi Toots and brodiebobs, thanks for stopping by. It may take some time for things to settle down, but the time off is helping somewhat with the stress. Thanks also for tip on DMs, not heard of that site before but will definitely keep an eye out.

    Had a lovely time with sis, went shopping together without kids which we never do! Treated her to lunch in a lovely french place, £20 from personal spend. I bought a pair of maternity jeans for £38 from topsh0p, but having trialled them in the house yesterday they keep working their way down so will have to go back! There are shockingly few maternity ranges available on oxford st :mad:. Any tips on decent overbump skinny maternity jeans - for a shorty? Cooked a lovely roast and sticky toffee pudding which went down a treat too.

    A friend brought over a huge amount of baby and toddler clothes - sorted through and separated items for baby bank from those I plan to use. Very generous, and some lovely items.

    Back in work on wednesday - have DS today, and have had a lovely morning at the free singsong in the library. Making it a NSD (well until OH does weekly shop) by not buying jacket pots but making dinner from storecupboards instead.

    To do today:
    [STRIKE]* nap
    * cook chickpea curry for dinner[/STRIKE]
    * bag up items for baby bank
    [STRIKE]*text friend to say thank you[/STRIKE]
    * separate toddler items for DS from baby items.
    * bag up baby items for under loft
    [STRIKE]* 1 x washload[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]* wash DS coat
    * finish meal plan
    * OH shopping/DD cadets[/STRIKE]

    I swore by my Mamas and Papas mat jeans. They are really good quality, reasonably priced and they do different leg lengths. x

    CONGRATULATIONS!!

    What fabulous news!
    Fingers crossed you keep the migraines under control this time.

    Being vertically challenged (shorter than Kylie :o) I had A LOT of problems finding maternity jeans. However I had a pair of skinnies from M&P which were so comfy (just rocked the rucked up at the ankles look :cool:) and found a couple of pairs in Next which were 'just' ok in length.

    Take care of yourself

    Hi both, I keep forgetting that M&P do clothes - even though I bought a lovely top in the sale I wore throughout my last pregnancy! Do you know if they do the range instore, or do I need to order online?

    Hope you're well ickle, and well done on last years OPs, you almost tripled mine! Fingers crossed re: the migraines, I've gone back on the medication as my symptoms were gradually increasing. Only problem is it is really wiping me out - my get up and go has got up and gone!

    Last day of sick leave today, and am really struggling to motivate myself. I really don't want to spend it just in bed as I'll find being back at work one heck of a struggle the next few days. Especially with the tube strike So, list for the day:
    * shower and dress
    * hang out laundry
    * 1 x washload
    * dinner in slow cooker
    * lunch - soup from freezer
    * sort baby clothes as yesterday's list
    * pick up parcel from sorting office
    * tackle office for at least half hour
    * list one thing on local selling site

  • Good morning! I'm off sick today with some form of sickly cold thing -yuk! but on the up side I might get caught up on some more diaries and maybe even my own (which I've not updated since September :o)

    Hope you get all your jobs done - I find a little list of achievable things very satisfying (if I manage them all)

    I always bought instore from M&P but I am reasonably close to two outlets (one being the factory shop) which helped me save a lot on the RRP. There may be one near you? or maybe try Eb@y - I got some barely worn and NWT bargains!

    Hope you're feeling better ickle! Almost everything on the list done.

    Thanks for the heads up on M&P outlets. There's one in Essex, which am due to visit in March so might pop in then. I think will have to buy some jeans before then though, and the extra petrol costs would cancel out the discounts if I visited earlier! I'm hit and miss with sizing, so prefer to try on before buying, so fleabay doesn't always work for me.

    Working from home today - the tube strike made yesterday a pigging nightmare. Ended up paying an extra £5.90 to get the high speed train in :eek:, but it was the only way I was going to get anywhere, having exhausted all other routes. Took 2 hrs in and an hour and a half back - and that was without the nursery run. Sooo glad to not have to do it all over again today!

    Totally exhausting toots! Have already agreed working from home next week because of it.

    Alchemilla, it was carnage. The only reason it was quicker on the way home was because I didn't leave central london til half eight due to welsh lessons. I still had to shoulder barge my way onto the bus (and despite bump on board badge and inability to do up coat due to bump then had to ask for seat). Tonight OH got the tube as far as he could, then ended up pushing the buggy for 3 miles in the 'piso lawr' rain. (thanks pavlov!). He was absolutely dripping when he got in.

    OH just fixed our Dualit toaster - £20 for elements and now all working again :T. It was a bit touch and go when it was dismantled whether he'd remember how to put it together again :rotfl:!
