Well thats one less thing to worry about.0

Saw doctor today, and have postural hypotension - posh way of saying my blood pressure drops when standing. Nothing to worry about, just keep fluids up and not stand up too quickly.
£2.60 spent on parcel and £1 on replacement library card. Am enjoying reading at the moment so planning to reserve the latest fiction rather than be tempted to buy it (only 75p online to reserve with my library service). Also bought a book I for £1.50 from local facebook sales group, which has £3.25 trade in value! Planning to read it and and get paid for the privilege
.
Tried baby group in library for first time, was free and lots of singing and stories which DS enjoyed. Will definitely go on the list for maternity leave.
Noticed bepathen on offer at Mr S (half price of boots and cheaper than I could find online). Sent OH to pick up a few and he's come back with £40 worth of baby medicines
- sometimes I wish he'd just stick to what is on the list! Although am sure it'll save money in the long run as all 30% off and we do use it.
Mobile still not turned up
. Debating whether to upgrade for new handset, or just transfer number to new sim and use DDs old handset (v basic). Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Migraine this morning, managed to shift with paracetamol (25p), and had craving for packet of crisps on way home (80p). Sooo tired from the migraine. Lots of surveys on onepoll today - £1 made. Still never made payout there! OH out, so early night for me.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Today I threw up spectacularly - managed to jump off the bus I was on, but the bus stop didn't escape. Not sure if it was a bug as I'm not normally sick (only feel like I will be). Returned home, green at the gills, and had a day in bed - headache and feel rubbish, but not much more.
Collected about 6 vouchers for free sandwich thins from the evening $tandard yesterday - hoping to pick up and freeze for a few cheapo snacks and lunches.
And just spotted DD's school has been charging me £8 instead of £7.50 per tea time club session. Have requested a refund (this has been ongoing since September, so should be about £15).
DD started drama today, need to pay for that (£70 x 10 sessions - cheaper and much more fun that tea time club!). Bought cake as a treat for her - £1.
Am thinking of trying the bic biro challenge - more info here http://fromalditoharrods.com/earn-10-using-a-pen/. Anyone tried it??Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Oh dear you poor thing
hope you are feeling better now. MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
All better now thanks, did feel a bit rough for a day or so afterwards but London bus stops are now safe again!
Some not great financial news - OH had flu and had two days off work last week. Just had a letter that these won't be paid as he's in his first 3 months. TBH there is nothing we could have done as he was a total mess and needed the rest - he tried going in after just one day but got worse so had to have another off. Just a bit annoying.
Had a lovely day together at friend's baby blessing - saw lots of good friends and had a beautiful and bountiful meal together. We're skipping dinner as we're so full! DD was delightful, talking with everyone and eating properly - made me v proud
. I won't say how much the gift cost, but I have learnt a valuable lesson - never go panic buying in harrod$!
Wondering if we can make it to a waitrose tomorrow - they have a voucher for free milk in their weekend supplement apparently.
Time for the Bridge in a mo - hoping will stay awake!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

First of all what lovely news many congratulations. Just so you don't feel too bad I have done the sick thing in Victoria station - DISGUSTING for all and then I had to get on the train home- the shame.
However everything else sounds good, when do you go on maternity leave? Also your paying off puts me to shame I need to have more self control.0 -
Thanks toots, nice to see you here. It happens to all of us, although Victoria station was probably a bit more public than the bus stop in a small outer london high street!
Maternity leave starts in 16.5 weeks - I am sooo excited!!! Looking forward to having oodles of time with DS and DD. Means will be home for the whole first year of DD at secondary school - think it'll really help the transition - plus for DS from 2-3 years.
Had quieter day yesterday, including nap when DS was asleep. All took a trip to the park together in the morning, the daylight was beautiful! Actually got it together to do some housework yesterday evening - just wiping kitchen down and hoovering living areas but as have felt so rough last few months this is a major improvement for me! Didn't make it to waitro$e, it is quite far and OH had the shopping to do.
£2.87 OP made from tcb payment. I don't think this needs to put you to shame toots :rotfl:!
ETA: my mobile showed up - after two weeks! DS just handed it to me, so have no idea where it actually was. So pleased didn't have to get a new one.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

That sounds like extremely good timing for your maternity leave, it will make the first year at secondary school much easier.0

Thanks toots - am very excited about our first choice school - can't wait to find out in March!
On a DD school related issue, almost every single child in her year has been told they must attend compulsory SATs boosters on a Saturday for 10 weeks! They aren't allowed to miss a single class and their parents must meet the deputy head if they can't attend. Luckily DD is one of the few children who has not been 'invited' to attend as her levels are very good already. I think the 11+ work we did together has definitely paid dividends! Personally I think it is disgusting, as it is for the school's benefit. She a friend in tears as Saturday is their favourite day of the week where they get to rest (church early on a Sunday). We've so many fun things planned the next few months we wouldn't have been able to go anyway.
Picked up first packet of thins (and thin they are, not much eating in them and for £1.30 a pack I wouldn't buy them but obviously not going to turn my nose up at free food!).
Took DS to little yogis class today which has just started - not sure how much he got out of it but saw some friends there which was lovely. £7 drop in.
Bought some clothes from @xfam for kids and a new mon$oon top with tag which is just a little too small for DD - will sell it on local fb group. 4 items for 99p each, and hoping to make more than that on the top.
Mistimed our arrival home - DS had already had 5 min nap in the buggy so refused to have his sleep. I was EXHAUSTED and ended up just resting on the couch whilst he trashed the living room. He fell asleep at 4.30 on the rug on the floor. MUST make it back earlier next week!
